It has been a real treat being one of Bruce's fans and taking this epic journey with E Street and the Other Band. It is too bad that the Other Band did not make it into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Bruce has taken many leaps of faith, he has been "Working on a Dream" "Proved it All Night or at least over 4 hours that he was *The Man* and it was a "Man's Job"
This '92 tour with the "other Band" was not even close to be as successful as any of the tours with the E Street Band. It's understandable that Bruce wanted to try something different. Many artists do that. I'm glad he reunited with the E Street Band years after and started some very long, successful and enjoyable world tours again. Unfortunately regarding Springsteen's studio albums that he released after the reunion until today I could never fully connect to his music again the way I did when he was starting to make records in his early years with the E Street Band. His first seven albums that he recorded were just out of this world in my opinion. Very hard to top that afterwards.
I actually disagree. The rising is a masterpiece full of emotion and there’s a lot of power and connection in the band. And the reunion tour id say is Peak Springsteen. The live in New York album is just electric. Weinberg has as much power as ever, and frankly I think the 20 minute EPIC tenth avenue freeze out is just about as good as it gets with Bruce: captivating, spiritual, funny, energetic. I’d even go so far as to say the Magic has some pretty wonder moments between the band. Nowadays he definitely is starting to sound a bit tired, but he’s pushing 80 years old!
@@stichyface I actually like Tom Joad as far as his post the other band albums are concerned. It has some great story telling in the lyrics. Highway 29 is just a haunting song, its such great story telling it could have been made into a short film.
Bruce was still young and full of energy but the 92-93 era sucked other than a few songs. He talked about the E Street Band is less than glowing words and ended up eating those words.
Human Touch and Lucky Town feature great tracks all along! I don't have any prejudice. The gigs were absolutely amazing and Bruce was rocking out.
MTV Rockumentary.....i watched it again and again and again...... alomst 30 years ago.

I agree. The same with Jackson Browne. His first 5 albums are outstanding and then....well I just keep listening to the first 5.
