My first helicopter ride was in a police MD530F just like this one, except for slightly different paint and a couple extra pieces of equipment like a FLIR system. Awesome helicopter!
Thank you Mr Hughes to pave the way for so many innovations, you had been gone for a long time now, but the vision you have of the future still lives today , this helicopter 🚁 is on those things.
@@tman49ken88 my last flight was February last year..Covid kicked in and no more ride alongs. Bummer! I’m taking heli lessons and my instructor is also one of CPDs pilots so I still fly in a trainer, but it was a blast to cover the Columbus air..man, so many great sights from the air.
@@tman49ken88 my instructor was Howard, but I typically flew with with Keeton and Cooney. I flew one time with Stack and I remember him asking if it was ok to ‘crank it and bank it, you won’t get sick?’..I laughed and told it was fine..but he was just kidding. The trainer is at a flight school at Delaware airport..it’s a Schweizer 300. I’m not a police officer, just getting my private license...but some officers start their training here on that aircraft. They are all a good group of guys..
@@tman49ken88 The city bought a new Bell 407, I think they’re selling one of their aging 530’s. I’ve only seen a pic of it but it’s nice..currently getting ready to get the new comms installed last I heard.

The MD 530F is a beautiful helicopter, I want it to remain operational for many decades to come, and never need to be replaced unnecessarily.
That noise when the fuel ignites in the turbine.....
What an awesome noise. Drowns out the kids screams no problem!

@@tommyk1073 I envy you! Was Ferguson or Stack your instructor? Also, where's the trainer located?

Why do people always zoom in? No depth perception when you do that. always best just to not touch the zoom.
...and all because of gravity.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I think it's so slowly, and pilot is not skillful.....
