There are many levels to this that need to be addressed. Addressing the gun rights advocacy is important. Accusing mentally unstable individuals is a good start. They want a national database of all mentally unstable individuals. But the problem is that anyone could at any time become mentally unstable so these checks need to be for the entire nation maybe like jury duty. But this costs money and I can hear the fallout from this from people like myself who don’t own guns.

I came here from a recent video of Ben and Piers being respectful to each other. On this 10 year old video I can see Piers' point. Start with assault rifle ban. Ben saying ban all guns simply puts the issue on hold or abandoned altogether.

Piers has a strategy that he uses to influence and manipulate audiences and he uses those tactics to dodge and ignore the facts regarding the topic. Notice how he never addressed Ben's point about hand guns being the most used weapons in gun related murders. People like piers love to spread misinformation and blatant lies in order to prey on the ill-informed and poor. If the Democrats tried to ban only hand guns, their argument wouldn't carry as much weight. Ben is a genius when it comes to dissecting manipulation tactics.

I don’t really care about the agreements being made because the issue is obviously far more complex.
But from an objective standpoint, it is easy to see that Ben Shapiro’s talk is made of mostly logical fallacy.
1.) Straw Man Fallacy
Shapiro barely even addresses Morgan’s argument. In fact, he makes quick work of brushing it off. the real subject of the argument was not addressed or refuted, but instead replaced with the “argument” of this imagined “left”.
2.) Ad Hominem
This fallacy occurs when, instead of addressing someone's argument or position, you irrelevantly attack the person or some aspect of the person who is making the argument. He immediately starts by insulting the character of the person he is in debate with. He proceeds to bring it up several times.
3.) False Equivalency
I can’t believe that someone has to say this. A LITERAL GENOCIDE is not comparable to American Gun Violence.
Ben Shapiro is a smart man. He is aware of the fallacies he is stating. I just don’t think he cares.

There are many levels to this that need to be addressed. Addressing the gun rights advocacy is important. Accusing mentally unstable individuals is a good start. They want a national database of all mentally unstable individuals. But the problem is that anyone could at any time become mentally unstable so these checks need to be for the entire nation maybe like jury duty. But this costs money and I can hear the fallout from this from people like myself who don’t own guns.
