  • In today's Explore Spain episode, we share with you the 10 Best Towns and Cities to Visit in Costa Blanca, Spain.
Splendid beaches, delicious cuisine, vibrant nightlife and lively fiestas all make Spain one of Europe's best getaways. Because Spain encompasses several autonomous regions and islands, the country boasts one of the most widely diverse cultures and landscapes on the continent.
Costa Blanca is a stunning region that offers something for everyone, whether you're looking to relax on the beach, explore historic landmarks, or sample delicious cuisine. Its warm climate, beautiful beaches, and stunning natural scenery make it a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Spain.
You can explore the long stripe of the Costa Blanca (White Coast), one of Spain's premier holiday coasts, popular with both domestic and foreign visitors. It's very busy in summer, with a lively social scene and great beaches. Even if that's not your scene, there are still several worthwhile destinations along this coast. Although the original fishing villages have long been engulfed by the sprawl of resorts, a few old-town kernels, such as those at Xàbia (Jávea) and Altea, still survive. Alicante itself has plenty to offer besides legendary nightlife, while Dénia is an enticing blend of a traditional fishing town, beach resort, and gastronomic destination.

Our perfect place is Jesus Pobre near Denia. ....Jesús Pobre is a village and municipal district located in the province of Alicante, in the Valencian Community, Spain. The origins of Jesús Pobre date back to the 14th century, when it was founded as a farming and fishing community during the Muslim era. However, it was after the Reconquista of the Kingdom of Valencia in the 13th century that the village began to develop.
Throughout its history, Jesús Pobre suffered various conflicts and events that marked it significantly. During the Spanish Civil War, the village was witness to numerous battles, bombings and deaths. The town was severely affected and many of its inhabitants were forced to flee their homes and seek refuge elsewhere.
In modern times, Jesús Pobre is known as a quiet and charming village, nestled in the heart of the Marina Alta region, which is famous for its rural beauty and traditional culture. The village is full of interesting sights, such as its historic church and the Montgó Natural Park, which lies just a short distance away and is renowned for its stunning scenery and wildlife.
In conclusion, Jesús Pobre may not be a well-known place in Spain, but its unique history and beautiful surroundings make it a hidden gem that is certainly worth discovering.

we have lived here in Spain for almost 14 years. We are about an hour inland from Jesus Pobre and would definitely consider the village and surrounding area as a future location. Thanks for the history shared. 👍

Albir had the worst beach ever. Only big rocky stones on the beach and there is no sand at all... (June 2023 last visit)

Albir have sand beach on the right side by the mountain. Just go down by the anchor-monument and you are there😎
