The 5th season is "The time to enjoy it all" We also refer it as the city of 5 smells. The"pharmaceutical" plant is a corn processing plant, primarily corn starch, once you realize that's what wet corn starch smells like its not so bad. That plant at the end used to be called (Douglas& Co)Penick & Ford one of the first placed they found out about grain dust explosions on May22,1919, broke windows into Marion.
If you haven’t already found out, there are a couple videos you should see about CR. One is the Cedar Rapids flood. All the area you walked through was under water. The bridges, everything. The second one to see is the Cedar Rapids derecho. Both were devestating for the city and surrounding areas. Hey, safe travels to ya!
The first area you walked through was the New Bohemia neighborhood. Shortened to Newbo often. Live music every week in the summer and a great place to go for music and dinner on the weekends. Also at 6:40 that big hill is Mount Trashmore haha. An old sealed up landfill turned park. and Last thing but you justtt missed the greene square park and library that were next to the art museum but either way great video!
There are 2 different factories right next to eachother. Not exactly sure what the smaller one does. Ingredion is the main one and produces corn starch and used to produce ethanol. One the reason Cedar Rapids is known as the city of five smells. When u have quaker oats, general mills, adm, Cargill, amongst others all fairly close. Pretty good paying jobs though. Enjoyed the video!
So cool place I thought it going to be crowded based on the population of the city but i felt so calm and watching its so soothing, I think IA cities and towns are quiet place to live , wish u shoot another video in IA cities and town .
Great footage... thank you...
This is one of the cleanest city I have seen in a long time,no trash know we’re. Love it. 😘😍😍😍
I can tell you that I very much enjoyed exploring the city.

Cedar Rapids has really good tap water. If I travel to other cities I take a lot of water with me.
I didn’t know that! I now wish I had tried the tap water.

Where are all the peeps?
I agree. Not very many people. That’s one of my super powers though, I tend to visit places at their least crowded time
@@ThePerfectWalk maybe a Sunday?
It definitely fills up more when it’s not a holiday! Weekends are super busy with lots of bands and live music downtown
