I would also like to point out Asura has many parallels to shiva, as shiva is the god of destruction who is destined to destroy the world so it can be recreated, while Asura destroyed the old world (as in the status quo) and made way for a new one to form. Also they are lovers to a goddess named Durga, they are destroyers yet cares for their loved ones vary much, they killed an evil king who was responsible for there wife’s death, and when Asura climbed out of naraka it created a pillar of fire like how shiva’s birth did.

But I believe the reason Hinduism isn't protrayed media is colonization and also just the fact you're not supposed to depict the Gods like Record of Ragnarok got banned in India because of Shiva. I genuinely don't know why Buddhism isn't use more. It going take Black Myth Wukong for Buddhist gods and legends to appear in the West.
This game deserves more love and attention while the story is complete it’s sad that we’ll never get more of this series

I wish capcom would just remaster or port this game to current platforms
