      Why ?

    • @lasvegasbreakingnews1752
      @lasvegasbreakingnews1752 Год назад

      @@gagemcpherson1956 At 235 plus the speed becomes faster than the physical track itself.
      Literally the speed is out distancing the physical attributes and constraints of the track itself.
      All it will take is two or more cars to have incidental contact and the cars will disintegrate in moments. Killing the drivers and good chance spectators.
      It was around 15 years ago Indy car dialed down the speed on the cars. However, it is racing and here we are again. 235 plus.
      One thing for drivers to get killed. A whole different thing when spectators get killed.
      BTW, this is why you saw the average speed for over a decade around 222. Study showed at 222 the cars would stay within the boundaries of the catch fences. Fairly safe for the spectators.
      There of course is always the chance for some quirk of an incident to cause spectator death.
      Best place to watch the race is in front of your TV. Pretty much placing your risk at zero if an incident should occur.

      I saw a car cut a plastic bag in half just before heading into turn 1,
