Incarnation is incredibly powerful especially on a Troll druid. You can bind it with Berserking and all of your lifeblooms and wild growth (7 targets instead of 5) (Especially with 4 piece) get an extra tick. It's fantastic. Not as good if you are over all the haste caps but it is very powerful with mastery builds (Which I am). For such reason. Berserking and Incarnation share the same CD so they pair together perfectly. I.e. I use Incarnation on Garrosh for example. Every time you get sucked into another realm it is really powerful to use when you are dodging his smash, you can life bloom multiple people and use Wild Growth on more targets. INCREDIBLY GOOD because there is a lot of aoe damage that people are generally around half health the whole time. Another good thing about Incarnation. IT IS A MANA COOL DOWN. You will be using life bloom it's a very efficient hot. The amount of mana it costs is very low. Also, you get a ton of free Regrowths at this time because of how many life blooms you have rolling will proc your omen of clarity. So you are spending very little mana for the amount of healing that you are putting out. Use Wild Growth on cd! Also, I personally think that Glyph of Regrowth is better than Glyph of Healing touch. How often exactly do you cast Healing Touch? I personally think it is better to cast Regrowth with Omen of Clarity procs because it always crits (also gives Seed). It is a much shorter cast time so you will in all have more time to heal. And let's be honest the Regrowth hot is terrible.
Just a little addition: Swiftmend also procs your mastery, so you should never really have to cast Nourish. Also, Displacer Beast macroed with a cancelaura catform macro is (atleast imo) the best choice for SoO encounters, who wouldnt want a Blink on a short cd, you can blink through any kind of bad stuff or prevent fall damage (galakras/Thok) But finally someone who also recommends to use Soul of the forest :P
I say Holy it is a ton of fun and is more focusd on actual heg not just absorbs. You lose the DPS side but if you want to DPS as a Priest just Dual Spec into Shadow...
Spirit may more important than intl in higher lvl of gear. Try using force of nature. Its super usefull to throw on large packs of melee and when in low damage periods when u need to repelnish mana.
I still like to use Nourish, especially coupled with the Glyph of Rejuv. It's a slow heal, sure, but with enough Rejuv's sprinkled around, it becomes as fast as Regrowth, renews stacks of Lifebloom, keeps up your Harmony buff, essentially gives you "free" healing than just reapplying Lifebloom stacks, and does all of this while remaining extremely cheap and efficient. Then again, my druid is only ilvl484, so I still need some more Spirit >
In my opinion and experience Cenarion ward will end up overhealing alot in raids because you are most likely not the only healer spotting that member that is going to get a damage spike, Ysera's Gift is just an awesome pick that also heals other people when you are at full health, and you dont even have to think about it at all :)
So I've been using Force of Nature for progression in SoO and if you check out the logs for WOW-US Sargeras The band of the Red Hand-Blackbearz my force of nature plus that effloressence is doing AMAZING heals on all 4 first bosses... maybe not immersus but definitely any stack fight... thoughts on that?
Two questions: you didn't mention Glyph of Regrowth. Is it worth taking? Under what circumstances? Also, you said "first and foremost you're gonna get your Lifeblooms up on your tank"... should you not ensure you're benefiting from Harmony before you do this? Or am I getting confused? Thanks!
mistake i see in up and coming resto druids is the regrowth glyph, regrowth's ticks are all the more impotent and combine this with clear casting and you can rest easy with keeping the tank up
As a longterm serious healer i would recomend the addon Vuhdo. I tryed Grid for a while but I find that Vuhdo is more adjustable, easier and looks better. Just my personal oppinion but look it up and see what you think :D
Howdy Preacher, just wanted to make a comment on your video about Wild Mushroom: Bloom. I have noticed that the bloom big burst heal does not heal anyone unless you(anyone who is in the raid group) stand inside the eff. circle. And it no longer just heals everyone within a certain range, example: 40 yards. I am not sure if this is because of using the glyphs or not, do you know a little more about this?
hi Mike. Thanks for your personal insights into the spec, you helped me fill in the blanks. This is my first healing spec and since i hit cata dungeons and had to utilise things i love it. It's a shame panda dungeons dropped soooo far below in difficulty that it becomes very boring indeed : / catas tough on healers man
Background story: I am new to being a healer (i.e. not just resto druid, but have never healed before). I am level 55. Some friends and I rerolled and I said I'd heal so we always have dedicated heals. Situation: One of the players in my group is constantly telling me I need to have my "circle" (Efflorescence) out 100% of the time. I keep saying that, first of all I can't have it out 100% of the time. And Second of all It doesn't make sense, (at Lvl 55) to keep it up always because I lose the instant cast heal of swift mend which is pretty good. (Friendly reminder - The mushroom comes at 84 so I can't glyph efflorescence to it yet) Question: Am I wrong? Should I have efflorescence out as frequently as I can, even though at the lower level I lose my instant cast heal? A couple thoughts from me: I'm convinced if I wasn't keeping my efflorescence up all the time to make this friend in my group happy, I'd have slightly better survivability when I get spotted as a healer in the BG. If I could instantly give myself 2K from swiftmend that would be handy. Everytime I cast it though, I have fifteen seconds of, "Oh shit, I better not need an instant heal!" I do have Cenarion Ward for the lower level. It has proven to be not enough. The other night I got hit by a warrior and a hunter at the same time. Hunter hit me for 4500, (prot) warrior hit me for about a kajillion. Cenarion ward, and any chance of me living through that is gone. I have 4600 health. Whining: My friend then says, "you can't be dying that quick, you're doing something wrong." Anyway, I'd love if you, or someone could answer my question about efflorescence. Any other tips are welcome. Like I said, this is my first time playing a support role. Sorry for the long comment.
Efflorescence is god tier once you have the mushroom glyph and it is no longer a question. As for your current level, the circle heal is helpful, but it's a situation based choice in each case. Don't use insta-heals as a crutch though, you need to understand how to have a smooth curve for healing up damage.
Really awesome video. Sure as hell made my Resto Druid interesting again, though it is on par with my Mistweaver Monk. Also, what music have you used for this video, it sounded really awesome, yet strangely familiar.
Go for the 13163 BP with SotF. Incarnation is for bad druids and is really far behind SotF if SotF is used correctly. Don't use nourish at all, use regrowth and glyph it for the guaranteed crit (the HoT is garbage and the glyph guarantees it will crit which = Living Seed on the target. Only pair SotF with WG with the exception of emergency Tranq. Using it with anything else is a loss in throughput. Spend Clearcasts on Regrowth and only use healing touch when paired with Nature's Swiftness. It is too clunky otherwise, Regrowth is the better option as it has a faster cast time, a guaranteed crit and will place Living Seed on the target. Hope I helped some people.
I roll SotF and 13163 Hbp as well- However I wouldn't say it is massively ahead of ToL - There are certain situations or encounters where that extra burst is really useful. Personally I choose that tier of talents based upon the encounter, for example spoils ToL is ace and on Malkorok SotF is immense.
Hola Preach! Question, in what way is Cenarion Ward shit? I'm finding it to be really useful when I can predict incoming damage. The hot tics for 30-40k so when it's up it's a fucking ace if you ask me!
The Glyph of Regrowth gives your Regrowth 40% increased crit chance, which makes it a guaranteed crit. With Incarnation: Tree of Life this lets me do some obscene emergency healing. Although since the glyph turns Regrowth into a guaranteed crit, it makes Healing Touch useless unless you also have the Healing Touch Glyph; which still puts Healing Touch in a weaker position. Tl;DR, I recommend Glyph of Regrowth.
Preach is it possible that you could make some kind of guide to the addon Grid for healers because it looks nice. Alot of the pro healers uses it to, so it must be good. i just can`t config it propper so it would help me and maybe others alot. a Thanks in advance. From a Great fan and love the work :D
THANK YOU!! for this guide. I just got back to WoW, dusted off my resto druid and was like...umm..yeah I am lost lol. Muchly appreciated for your awesome guides!
That's true. Tho it is still very good. You can predict incoming damage and put it up on dpsers - the buff lasts 30 sec, but I guess it's very situation depending. But I wouldn't call it shit..
well the problem is u cant spam rejuve because then ure out of mana. And u can't cast more then 4-5 rejuve and then Genesis Before the rejuve's time is running out on its own, so its better if u cast rejuv on main targets with low hp,2-3 ppl then genesis, and then target 2-3 new ppl and genesis. but this will take some mana.
Translation: I'm a 554 ilvl resto druid, and I call tell you this: follow this talent spec, except swap "Heart of the Wild" with Nature's Vigil after [?]. As for haste: atm, I have 13,170, so I hit the 13,165 haste cap. It can get messy to get to that haste cap, but I must tell you it's worth it. Think about your mana regen though. Use innervate wisely, and don't spam rejuve or regrowth too much. Get the legendary meta if you can. You can check my armory: Sanarya on Darksorrow EU.
He usually gems/gears wrong on his guides to prove it's not a gear thing, and that you be a baller in any gear, But he does make these guide for people who are on progress and min/max.
I think you should use Nourish before actually applying Lifebloom on your tank. Because refreshing it with Nourish doesn't make it benefit from the mastery.
Pwaitelol No you do not... I have tested this myself together with other spec-specific questions for a long time. Refreshing lifebloom with nourish makes it benefit from mastery :)
its not 100% true about haste. You will always benefit from it its just the break points are massive benefit. Extra tick just wins game! But hots ticking faster are ok, the other thing is that mastery is not as overpowered as simply haste. Blizzard don't really know that hots are the mechanics that in combo with disco priest is just winning you everything but... you don't need disco priest. You can solo heal on resto druid most of SOO normal with not even that great gear. But one requirement is 2 extra tick on rejuv. So...you need some gear. Also Tier 16 2 set bonus is crazy shits Wild Grow gives 25% extra healing instant making it much much better. Overall i love playing resto druid and its always fun. If you need a lot, i can say it a lot of movement. Resto duid is your goto class. Druid can move and cast hots no problem, has panic buttons like swiftment that are instant. One thing it lacks are absorbs, but we know what happened when resto got absorbs from tier bonuses in WOTLK it was crazy. Overall i think resto drood is one of the most fun class to play in wow!
Ohh wow. 1) displaced beast is great better mobility around or wild charge because that migt be even better, I hate feline swiftness 2) cenarion ward isn't great but can be good in some fights like iron juggernaut throw t on a mine soaker and iron bark on another it's just another hot 3)renewal can be situational and great in heroic malkaroc it can be used to solo soak get ur shield on full jump in alone and instantly do it before u gt caught off shield by one of those fucking sha orb Shit that's In heroic 3) I like soul normally but cmon sometimes incarnation is great In garrosh normal or heroic the my world stage he hits like a bitch and the purple blade strong thing need healer coordinated cc especially on heroic 4) force of nature can dish off amazing healing are wise I only use it if we stack in sha, keep always at least one down and you have an extra efflorescence combined with your antimagic shells and you barriers and healing rains etc makes that borehole stack into a fortification of invincible Just my thoughts as an ex heroic raider...

Disc. Their sustained dps while healing is the best kind of cream on top of a delicious cake.
This video almost, ALMOST, makes me want to come back and play my Druid again.
Just want to confirm for everyone interested, because it really helps.
THE ADDON : Classtimer
I love that he said to go for straight up mastery and then sockets pure crit or int/crit :)

Nice vid again. 2 questions : What addons are the timers and the buttons that pop-up when out of cd???

Incarnation-soul of the forest
Nature's vigil-heart of the wild
Glyph of regrowth-glyph of healing touch

Really awesome video. Sure as hell made my Resto Druid interesting again, though it is on par with my Mistweaver Monk.

for pvp healing you will take incarnation. i know this is a pve guide, but just saying
he was 10 haste off break point... love ya preach
Sometimes u have to zoom in and zoom out to make the zoom command work.
Hola Preach!

I think you should use Nourish before actually applying Lifebloom on your tank. Because refreshing it with Nourish doesn't make it benefit from the mastery.
Well, you actually need to nourish twice to make Lifebloom benefit from the mastery
Pwaitelol No you do not... I have tested this myself together with other spec-specific questions for a long time. Refreshing lifebloom with nourish makes it benefit from mastery :)
***** yes you're right. I figured that out when i checked the combat log rather than the number displayed on the buff :)

Force of nature is amazing for proving ground endless

100% haste on tanquility ...best healing ability in the entire game. And in 5.4.8 it effect more ppl...
let get some macro in the descripton huh?
Ohh wow.
1) displaced beast is great better mobility around or wild charge because that migt be even better, I hate feline swiftness
2) cenarion ward isn't great but can be good in some fights like iron juggernaut throw t on a mine soaker and iron bark on another it's just another hot
3)renewal can be situational and great in heroic malkaroc it can be used to solo soak get ur shield on full jump in alone and instantly do it before u gt caught off shield by one of those fucking sha orb Shit that's In heroic
3) I like soul normally but cmon sometimes incarnation is great In garrosh normal or heroic the my world stage he hits like a bitch and the purple blade strong thing need healer coordinated cc especially on heroic
4) force of nature can dish off amazing healing are wise I only use it if we stack in sha, keep always at least one down and you have an extra efflorescence combined with your antimagic shells and you barriers and healing rains etc makes that borehole stack into a fortification of invincible
Just my thoughts as an ex heroic raider...
just crtl+c ctrl+v it
The fact that you didnt even mention the glyph of regrowth means you know very little about resto druids.
