This is the most beautiful birth I have ever watched. I literally had goose bumps all over. In a way, you have helped me overcome my fear of childbirth. If you can do it, then I can as well. SO proud of you, Mama. Your strength is admirable. My second , which was also my second GIRL… was veryyyy close in measurements to your princess weighing just slightly more at 8lbs 12 oz and measuring 21.75 inches. I also had an at home unmedicated birth but it was unplanned so my baby girl didn’t have as graceful and beautiful of an entrance like a water birth instead she was welcomed in our master bathroom solely by me as i was in complete denial that it was TIME and actually sent my partner on an errand as i thought i just realllllllly needed to use the bathroom 😬 nope ! my water broke and i immediately went to my bathroom floor on all 4s…. it’s amazing what we are capable of….. i NEVER would have thought i harnessed the strength, willpower, and self control to bring my daughter into the world without an epidural but i did and it was an experience i wouldn’t change for anything… seeing my baby girl look into my eyes minutes after taking her first breath is something ill never forget (and this isn’t to put down mamas that had medication assisted births as my first was and i totally planned the 2nd to be as well, but she had other plans… my recovery compared to my first birth was a DREAM and i literally felt amazing afterwards. p.s. DRINK ALLLLLLLLLL THE POSTPARTUM PUNCH FOR ME 😉 i STILL crave that stuff 3 months later…. YOU ARE AMAZING

My first born was a boy and my second born was a girl I delivered her in the bathroom by myself because I too was in denial because I had so many false contractions the whole pregnancy. My husband had just left early in the morning to go to prayer and I told him when he got back we can pack up and go to the birthing center. My plans were to take a shower, wake up my son and then go. But God had other plans. I had just enough time to slip out of our downstairs bathroom, grab my cell and go back in. I figured I could call 911 and just scream into the phone and they would pick up my location and send someone over lol I didn’t realize I never clicked send so the call never went through. I ended up pushing her out and it was only after that I realized I had never clicked the call button anyways. After that when I did call 911 I said “I just had a baby” and the operator was like “OK”. I said “no I just delivered a baby by myself in the bathroom” and then suddenly she was like “oh OK I’ll send someone right over!” My husband walked into the door. Maybe only a minute or two before the ambulance came. I will be forever thankful to them. This was only my first of three precipitous birth. My husband was able to deliver the second girl before our midwife got there, but luckily we were prepared and decided to do a homebirth instead of trying to make it to the hospital.

She’s so perfect. She came out really pink and absolutely gorgeous in my eyes. She’s the same weight my boy was to. I’m so proud you did this all natural whereas most women have the epidural which I didn’t even know about lol so wasn’t an option for me haha but now that I think about it I’m proud if myself for bringing both babies into the world natural.
