I rarely think about this game but when I hear the melody and the instruments I get a rush of feels.

I feel the same way, friend. I dunno how this game manages to get me so nostalgic, perhaps because I invested a lot of time into playing and modding it. And since I have many fond memories of it.
The game might get older, and memory of it will fade in time - but I hope my music can keep the game alive and remembered in people's hearts :)

I hope if we ever get a Dragon's Dogma II it delves into the namesake of the series and expands on the endless ring, the Dragon being seen as some holy tool as the hand of the Seneschal to bring about a renewal of life while also being the broken Arisen of yore, the implications of free will and causality, the evolution of pawn to person, and possibly a true breaking of the cycle
really hope they wont, because there is already one Arisen whos determination was strong enough to break the endless loop
or if there will be Dragons Dogma 2 it better be even more awesome than first game, cause expectation after the first one are very high(for me at least)
@@seriousgranpa would like to see a renaster with better graphics and inclusive the content that was cut from the main game. They could also add some classes and mobs from Dragons dogma on-line
A prequel would be a most likely alternative. Since the first game gave us the story of the arisen who ended the cycle, why not let the second game give us a story on how the endless ring started. The origin of the first arisen and the pawns with new regions inland since gransys was a coastal region. Mercedes even stated a land named "hearthstone" where she was born in.

Still my fav fantasy RPG game because of how badass the combat and music is. Slashing at a dragon's feet with a baby dagger until it randomly just falls over and dies? NO! 😑 Jumping on the dragon and pummeling it so hard it tries to fly away with you still on it at the music's climax?? YES! 😎

I really get those nostalgic feels with the line that follows: "Land and skies and seas yearn,
finish the Cycle of Eternal Return" - which comes from the epic "Eternal Return" - Dragon's Dogma's theme song. Something about that line lifts my spirits.

It's definitely one of the best games I've ever played and a super unique one.
I invested so much into a single long and challenging playthrough. Wish there was a proper New Game Plus mode- to encourage a revisit.

@@gemgem8780 It's also on PC - Steam and the game is rather well optimized. So you don't need some crazy system. I made a Graphics Enhancement mod as well as a music mod for this game. (Links above).

No other game soundtrack has utterly broken me like coils of light and eternal return, every time I listen to either I literally break down sobbing (I'm a grown-ass man). DDDA came to me in a really dark time in my life and I have a strong emotional connection to the music that's not gonna fade for a long time. Anytime I get through a really hard week I'll just sit down in my car and listen on full blast for some catharsis. Thanks for the mix, man, it means a lot to me that other people enjoy this music as much as I do.

The emotions tied to this game are so powerful, even the character customization menu music makes me feel a sad-happiness, desire to experience this game for the first time again

The mixes in this one are so good, the change from "a request" to the english "coils of light" works so well and the use of Raychell's soft ending after coils of light works very well. Thank you so much for these awesome remixes
+Zachary McGinnies I know right? lol I was tinkering with it for so long, trying to get the perfect flow. I wanted to finish the main song with a high note and somehow close it up with Raychell's voice. So I figured cutting the soft part and placing it right after the original CoL ends would be just right. Also don't know if you've noticed it, but on the other - Raychell Special version - I actually edited it so the soft part starts immediately after the song ends (without a pause) then fading into "A Request". Oh and the Star-Scattered night was a late final touch, I think it fits well with the motif and overall theme, preparing you for the big show. :D I would love to hear what you think about the other tracks in the playlist, if you have the time!
I really want to go back and play the game again... but i dont want to start that cycle... because the only way to break it is to leave the game alone... T.T

Dragon's Dogma 2 is in the works! Capcom schedule got leaked, and Dragon's Dogma 2 is set to release In Q2 of FY22. The second quarter of the 2022 fiscal year!

I first heard this 4 years ago, and man, it’s still just as beautiful. Dragon’s Dogma 2 comes out in a few months and I’m overjoyed to hear the soundtrack for it, I know it’s gonna rock.
Best soundtrack/ songs made within a videogame in historie of games. I can listen endlessly to this. So impowering, makes me feel alive. Held me up when i felt very low.

My thoughts are he's at the castle where you meet the dragon and decide your fate between your loved one or the dragon. I want Alex to be standing like Arthur Morgan in the pouring fourth oil mission from Red Dead Redemption 2, but he's holding his sword backwards so that the blade is behind his back, while the dragon is enraged and about to breathe fire upon him.

Likewise, seems to be planned or in the works. As a huge fan of both DMC and DD (I have lots of DMC5 videos here, while also made some DDDA mods and songs, and have hundreds of hours on each) - I'm rather torn what I want to have first (since I want BOTH): DMC6 or DD2?
Personally, I'm dying for DMC6. But I hope both will arrive eventually, and that we won't have to wait 11 years again lol.

It reminds me of Dark Souls, "The Cycle that never ends"
I know! Dragon's Dogma reminds me of Dark Souls in that regard as well. Personally I love Dragon's Dogma implantation of it a bit better. I really like Dragon's Dogma theme and concept of cycles and especially "ROLES": 1. The Arisen - Hero and savor of the world. 2. The pawn - Loyal servant of the Arisen and potential future Arisen. 3. The Dragon- Harbinger of the end of the world. Also a defeated Arisen - who had fallen to the Seneschal himself 4. The Dragon Forged - defeated Arisen turned slave and messenger of the dragon. 5.The sovereign - he who took the Dragon's Bargain out of greed or fear. 6. The sacrificed. 7. The Seneschal - The ruler and watcher of the world. Each are fated or cursed to fulfil the cycle in their special way.
Ransom Seraph It's more like curse in their own way. Seneschal was a living man once, he had the same story as Arisen from start to finish, he was once a villager in fishing hamlet, carried out in the same destiny as Grigori the Pawn who was once loyal servant of the previous Seneschal turned to dragon to allow the cycle of reincarnation be once again anew. Poetic as Dark Souls in that regard.
The cycle is kind of a trite concept that has been used in fiction and mythology for more than 2000 years, but the implementation is good.
@@Seneschal010 Grigori wasn't a Pawn: he was an Arisen. All Dragons and Dragonkin were formerly Arisen in life: the Great Dragons are those who conquered their Dragon and reclaimed their Hearts but faced the Seneschal and failed, the Lesser Dragonkin are those who conquered their Dragon but died in the Everfall and thus failed to reach the Seneschal.
Savan's Main Pawn was Salde (who he chose because he resembled his Father), who remains by his side even as the Seneschal. His two supporting Pawns were Quince and Morganna, and Quince remains in the Everfall to guide you to him.

Yes indeed... There's already plenty of pressure and a great burden on the shoulders of the Arisen as it is. Having to endure such hardships, only to sacrifice himself in the end? That's too tragic. He deserves to live on peacefully, and continue the bonds of friendship and loyalty with his pawns.

The first tracks are taken from in-game exploration music "Star Scattered Night" (when night falls) and "A Request" which is when you first meet Orla - the lady that takes you to the Bitterblack Isle. They fit so well with the theme songs of the game and its expansion, don't you agree?

The awesome Japanese version is sung by a woman named Raychell.
The English version is sung by an unknown boy named William Montgomery.

That's not me. That's RUclips! RUclips enforcing Ads without my permission & taking money for it too! (Without giving me: the Content Creator - a single dime!). I've NEVER put any ads on this. In fact, even I - the creator and owner of the video, gets ads when I enter the video. It's absurd.

Yes, they are doing this without even asking for my consent, or even notifying me, it just started suddenly. And I can't toggle it off. And worse of all, they refuse and dodge giving me some sort of monetization support for this.
I love coils of light but really dislike the Japanese version of it, usually like Japanese songs too but her voice doesn't match the song.
I actually happen to like this version more than the English version. Her voice and singing have a certain intent, strength and resolve to it. That the young boyish voice lacks. It feels more empowering.
