Thank you for your reaction Mark. The Dutch VPRO broadcast company is now for 42 years playing Here Is The News. I will do some research about the setlist in 1981 during the Time Tour. See the setlist from The Netherlands in 1982 which is on top of this page.
Thanks Harold for again an interesting look in your collection 👍 I have a theoretical question for you. So, you travel back in time to the year 1970 and for your 4th birthday your parents will buy for you a record player, or a CD player. They both cost the same. You did not start your collection yet. You will maybe start later with a nice Focus album. Records and CD’s all have the exact same price, let’s say everything is 5 guilders. Today, CD and records still cost the same. Let’s say 20 euros. So your choice was a preference only on the format with no other factors. You also cannot change your mind later in 1986 😊 Which one did you choose?
Thank you Mike for your reaction. My choice would be the CD. Because I prefer the sound quality of the CD above the vinyl copy. And in my car I can play CD's.
@@TheHarold1966 Thanks for your answer Harold, I was just very curious. I have quite a number of albums on both CD and LP. I cannot decide, sometimes I prefer one, sometimes the other. CD certainly wins for bonus tracks (example my Moontan remaster, which also sounds great). Thanks!
@@TheHarold1966 It is actually the first album I ever bought. I was very young. I still have it, first pressing. Still one of my favourites. I think it is quite progressive. I also have originals of Focus and Brainbox. Dutch rock was excellent at that time. Oh yes, I almost forgot, On The Third Day was the second album I bought. Very relevant to this video 😊

Nice one! I've always wondered if they played Here Is The News when on tour in The Netherlands with the famous VPRO jingle.

@@mike_burke Golden Earring with the Moontan album. Radar Love as you know is the big hit single.

@@mike_burke Interesting. See my 2 shows about Dutch prog rock. I also did a Focus and a Kayak album show.
