We’re just doing the final sign off on our JB van and have removed the front hatch and replaced it with the domestic DRS. The front scupper hatch will also be removed. Be interested to see how effective you find the system.
Hi there, thanks for the video. I am pretty sure i will get one of these. We did the Gibb last year and desp[ite taping everything up, dust was a major problem....wife was pretty over it toward the end. I assume you have done the dirt tracks you spoke of- how did it go?
g'day guys, any cons at all with it so far? And I wondered about bugs etc getting caught in the intake on the roof as with a car grill, if so, is it easy to remove/open & service?
No - working well - heading west soon from Newcastle via broken hill and birdsville so should get a good idea. Even on sealed roads I am not getting the dust on benchtops that I was before.
Thanks for the video, just purchased a Gator and was in two minds about the DRS but now thinking of the upgrade. What was the cost if you don't mind me asking?
Approx $780 installed from the JB dealer and very happy with the results and did some long dirt roads since with little dust inside the van.. impressed
@@wanderandmove4831 Thanks for the reply. I agree with your reason so I've just contacted JB Burleigh for a price and they told me it should be installed on the flat part of the roof behind the front Mini hatch for better performance. Did JB Burpengary give you the same advice or was it your idea to replace the hatch with the DRS? Cheer
@@waynelee7455 it was our choice and it fit the skylight spot perfectly.. works really well. We didn’t want more holes in the roof than we already had..
@@wanderandmove4831 You can also use the block out system (not shown on the video as it is a new product for the content creator) its a blank plate that is stored on the drop down access panel that can be placed up behind the intake in case of very heavy rain etc.
Thanks for the video. I’m very keen to see how it performs after some dusty roads.
Cheers.
Yes us too! Will post an update when we’ve done a couple...
Fantastic, I look forward to that! Thanks very much for your reply.
Thanks for the review, we have ordered a Crusader van and will option this add on.

We are going through a lot of dirt roads when we start Our Lap in May/June so will do a follow up video then. So far we seem to have less road dirt...
Nice, I’m sold, that’s how I’ll order my van, ML Burpangary JB take note lol
Nice job!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks buddy

We’ve just done the Oonadatta Track and had no dust or dirt to speak of. Very impressed and our travel companion also has one and is very happy too

@@wanderandmove4831 cheers 👍 Can the roof grill be removed easily to clean? Think locusts/bees getting caught etc.
Did you get any dust in the cupboards/by the wheel arches or does it keep it all out? The oodnadatta was pretty dusty.
A little inside the cupboards but nothing on the benches or bed..

@@wanderandmove4831 Great thanks for your advice,
Great idea
Thank you! 😊
What’s the verdict ?
Love it - dust free and also no window/vent above the bed. One of the best upgrades we have done,
Saw someone mention they got water leaking from theirs after driving thru heavy rain, had anything like that yet? What is supposed to happen to water?
We have had torrential rains, days of it and 4/7 days last week and no issues whatsoever.
