They had insurance and the fans would have understood the postponement. Adria and Dana sure pay attention to him now by using his estate as a cash cow. Tom was never about the money, he left it all on the stage for his fans.
The communication between Stan and Tom was fantastic. Just watch how Tom presses his tongue against his cheek and Stan reacts instantly with the bass drum. Tom explained how this worked and he was very impressed by how Stan constantly observed even the smallest signal from him. I think The Heartbreakers were without a doubt an amazing band regardless of their line-up. Tom made sure it was that way, but the individual members were no doubt hugely competent as well.
Tom Petty has been singing/dancing like this to his songs, (he wrote) since the beginning! Have seen the great Mick Jagger too, saw Tom Petty 1st time in 1983 & then in 1997!! always blows the crowd away to all his great, sold-out shows! Sure miss all this great R&R!~

Finally got to see Tom and the Heartbreakers perform this song live in Columbus, Ohio this last June. Glad I went. One of my all time favorite songs by one of my favorite artists. R.I.P. Tom Petty

Tom hasnt wrote a song that i havent liked really. Hes an excellent song writer and hes got Mike Campbell to lay down the lead licks that are just great.
