Can confirm. Had a friend who was engaged, I was her bridesmaid, we were going to concerts and she wanted me to get a job with her and move in with her temporarily. One day she just drops outta nowhere. I get a message from a friend of hers( but an enemy for me) messages me and tells me she's been cheating on her fiance with her friends landlord. I asked her what was going on and she pretty much said that her and I had been growing apart for a while and that it was time for us to move on in our lives. It wouldve been fine but I had just lost my son and on top of that, I lost my only true best friend. So while I'm happy she's happy, I will always hurt because we never really had a real conversation, she just ghosted me.

So they pretended to be friends with her by inviting her, only just to murder her in the end. The police ended up finding her body in the backyard when her parents was looking for her. Between the bunch of them, they thought it was a good idea to just toss her body in the backyard!! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

In 1988 I worked the door at a nightclub in my home town. Two ladies came in regularly. I was attracted to girl #1 and, after several weeks, got the courage to ask her out. Her response was a disgusted look and a demeaning "Ew, no." To save face I pivoted to girl #2 and said, "Actually, I was talking to you." She agreed to go out with me. Please, don't let it stick forever. Make an effort to let go. Once you learn people who don't want to be with you are better dealt with by letting them go totally, your life will improve a lot. Having these grudges are like going through life carrying a useless load; and so ot is keep friends with these horrible people. In the end they are doing ypu a favo, by keeping you from expending valuable time on worthless hacks. People are not that important really; not the ones who let you down anyway. When I was in 5th grade I was waiting for my best friend next to her locker while she packed her bag at the end of the day. The boy who had his locker next to hers was one of my bullies and she knew that. When he said "you're not really friends with HER?" She replied "no I only walk home with her". As we were walking home she told me "I hope you understand ". We had been friends since we were 4 years old. I thought of her as my best friend and she broke my heart. After that moment I started to question all my friendships and relationships. Even to this day I have trouble accepting new people in my life because I feel like they might not be genuine or just using me. It saddens me sometimes but I have never had that awful feeling of being used or being an embarrassment to my "friends". At least I learnt a lesson that day. Choose your friends wisely and keep the great ones close to your heart.
Another fun one. 15 years old, English class, my crush (who had found out from a "friend" that I had a crush on him) looked at me straight in the eyes and sang out loud, "fat chicks ain't gettin' nada..." He was a douche anyway and had a crush on my said "friend" but she had a thing for his friend, which I thought was pretty funny. Ahhh the dramas of the teenage years lol!
I'm still chubby today but I found a man who loves all my curves. I don't have many friends but the ones I do have are the best! These shitty moments and many others have taught me important lessons. Yes, they can be heart breaking but in the end they are enlightening. Don't let people use or hurt you, sometimes being alone is much healthier for your soul.

After my divorce, my best friend introduced me to his Cousin from the West Coast. We immediately hit it off. I was very vulnerable having just been dumped by my wife of 8 years for another guy. I was starving for female attention (not sex) and she made me feel like maybe I wasn’t as bad as my wife had led me to believe. She invited me to visit her in LA for a long weekend and I accepted. I purchased a plane ticket and made plans to spend the weekend with her thinking I had found love. When I arrived in LA, she picked me up from the airport along with Clyde the boyfriend. I spent that long weekend being the third wheel and sleeping on the couch all while trying to be polite and act as if everything was cool. Worst ever rejection? I've gone through a few. The worst one that I had was my first ever date ever. Starbucks. I get there about like 15 minutes early. I wait for him. time keeps going, I had ordered myself a drink. 2 1/2 hours go by. He never shows up. The barista felt so bad fo me cause I was crying cause i got stood up and so they gave me a free ice coffee. Which was very nice of them. Anyways, I decide to leave. It was clear the guy was not showing. So i exit the starbucks and head to my car.
Now it should be known that this was one of those two restaurants that share the same building, but are seperated by a wall. On the other side of the starbucks next door is a fire house sub. As i'm walking by it. I see him, the guy making out with another girl next door. He had doubte booked his dates and decided to go out with who he thought was the prettiest of the girls So of course, I march in, and proceed to dump my iced coffee, on his head. And to tell him off for leaving me hanging like that.

If someone deserves it and someone else chooses to take that small revenge (within reason, of course), hopefully, they re-evaluate how they treat others, or even if their hearts are not changed, hopefully they at the very least learn that you never know when someone will have the upper hand and stop treating others poorly, even if it is only in selfish self-interest, I suppose it's better than continuing to hurt people.
I would hope that they would take an honest look at themselves and try to understand their motivations, subconscious or otherwise, like why they enjoy causing others pain (in many cases kids are acting out because they feel scared and have no control at home or are beaten themselves, but some kids are just assholes or sometimes it is just as simple as making fun of the kid who is different so they don't get made fun of themselves or social hierarchies, or simply the unknown is scary and the kid who is a bit different I guess represents the unknown.. girls can be crueler in some ways than boys cutting down their "friends" (or fren-emies) self-esteem or saying really ugly things to other girls or boys... boys usually are more physical which is it's own special hell for kids not knowing when they will decide to wail on them... but I think maybe the nicknames and taunts will stick with kids longer because it shapes how they see themselves and messes up their personal identity in many cases.

3:03 that 6th grade lunch petition story actually happened to me in 6th grade too! I feel for that kid.
I used to sit with a group of 3 other girls at a table then one day we were waiting in line for lunch when one of the girls came up to me with a piece of notebook paper with all the girls' names signed on it, and was told that they took a vote and it was decided they didn't want me to sit with them anymore, because I would ask them every day if there was any lunch they didn't want and they got tired of it and decided it would be better to vote me out, than directly ask me to stop. What was nice was some other girls saw me sitting by myself and asked why. When I told them, they were disgusted by what the other girls did and invited me to sit with them ^.^ so that story had a happy ending!
Rejection is part of life, but so is confrontation. Problems don't just go away if you hide from them.

My rejection was work related. I was up for a promotion the Head of my department quit, before she left she recommended me as her back up to replace her. Everybody agreed that I was the best qualified for the promotion. But the manager didn’t want to train someone to take over my job so he hired from outside our shift. He didn’t want to admit that so he said I was passed over because I’m a pushover. His actual words. “You’re kind of a pushover and if a problem arises everyone will walk all over you.” I’ve been the back up for nearly 15 years and been taking control over the department while they have been making their decision and doing interviews, never once has anybody walked on me, they just do what I say. Which is why I’m looking for a new job during a pandemic.

One fine day his best friend who just couldn’t deal with his monstrosity anymore confronted me that he is dating his ex now and has no plans of telling me about it. They kept their relationship a big arse secret. When he asked him to at lest let me off the hook and stop 2 timing me.. he responded with saying that he likes to have options. Jack-arse!!! The slumber party reminds me of something that happened to me about a year ago.
I was over at a supposed friends house with a few of her other friends for a fun day and slumber party. Long story short- one of her brothers friends was rude to me and made me have a panic attack, and everyone kept on trying to send me home or tell me to get over my feelings quickly (I have trauma with suppressing my emotions so them saying that made me even more upset). When I kept refusing to leave like they wanted, my friends parents and family members LIED and told me the whole party was canceled cuz the friend was going to Disney and everyone had to go home. My dad picked me up, and I had a bad dream where everyone at the party was laughing and said they tricked me to leave. Woke up, checked their insta, and saw that it was a lie.. the friends were still there, they went out to eat the next day, seemed like they had fun. Called her out and she told me that she just wanted to enjoy her bday and didn't want to worry about what had happened (she went along with the lie too).. it still fucking hurts

My worst rejection came when I was 16. Let me start by saying I was a skinny, geeky, socially awkward teenager to begin with. But a friend and were talking one day and the conversation turned to girls. He told me about the girl he like and I told him who I had a crush on. We were heading back to class and he told he was going to tell Janet (the girl I liked) that I liked her. I told him I didn't care... I figured what's the worst she could do say no? Well it wasn't the worst thing she could do. We had science class together and I sat behind her and her clique. The torment started there. They would look back and start snickering... I was depressed... but the real torture happened on the school bus. She and her friends proceeded to humiliate me in front of the entire bus. The bus driver even got his jabs too. By the time I got home I just wanted to die. She crushed my spirit and it affected my life greatly throughout high school and into my late 20s. I still bear the scars of this and I'm 53 years old.

I just wanted die, and held back the tears until I went home and cried so hard I had to stop because I couldn't see for the tears. I turned 75 in August and have never forgotten this, my husband had told me they were crazy because I turned into a swan.

The story about the slumber party happened to me. I was in Girl Scouts and the Girl Scout leader wouldn't let me do any extra stuff at her house, she had a pool, a trampoline that she wouldn't let me use. Not that the other girls did either (that is until I found out that the mom waited till after I left for the girls to be allowed to use those items.) Long story short, me and my mom only found out because each time we had a meeting we would rotate who would bring snacks, it was my turn to bring snacks and in my hurry to get out of there (I cant remember why exactly but I know it was school related) I forgot the Tupperware container at the Girl Scout leaders house and we were already halfway home. We turned around and went back to be let in by the husband and saw the girls unloading sleeping bags from another room into the living room. Needless to say she tried calling over and over the next few days to 'apologize' I'm not quite sure what happened after that but the girls in my troupe seemed to disappear from my life. I was so hurt so I never bothered to ask, but I hope my parents talked to like the Girl Scout ... leaders of the area or something?

The only thing worse than experiencing rejection is watching your child experience it. My youngest daughter has autism, and she experienced rejection over and over growing up, from both kids and adults, even from her own father and grandmother. She started out as a lively, outgoing little girl and I watched her become more and more withdrawn as the years went on. I defended her whenever possible, but, in reality, I was completely helpless to keep this from happening to her. She never had behavioral issues. Her only "crime" was being different.

These bring back so many bad memories 😂🙈. For my 16th Birthday I went out to dinner with all my friends, which my mum paid for. They then said they were all going home so I got picked up. The next day I found out they had all gone bowling without me. The one and only time I told a guy I liked him (close friend) he said “it freaked him out” and we didn’t speak for a year, luckily we are still friends now though. Finally, my long term boyfriend at 16 wanted to dance with another girl for the one and only slow song at my high school prom. Turns out he had been cheating on me and we broke up a month later 😂 all things that have stuck with me to this day, nearly 15 years later.

I think there is a worst type of rejection that friendzoning, and it is called jajazoning (in Spanish, you may call it Lolzoning in English if you will). According to my daughter, there's nothing meaner than a 7th grade girl.
According to me, freckles are cute.
My own story: When I was a junior in college, one day about halfway through Fall term outside my statistics class, I saw a cute girl waiting to go in. Wondering if she was friendly, I smiled at her. Engineering college, small female student population, she looked at me like I was a fish rotting on the beach. Not a word was spoken between us. Nope, not friendly... About a year later, she's in one of my advanced chemistry classes. Her boyfriend had dumped her over the summer, and she was looking at me a mite more favorably. Long story short, we've been married 35 years next month. She claims she doesn't remember I was in statistics class with her, but I still regularly tease her about it.

Years ago, I'd met a pretty nice guy on some dating site or another. Another couple friends were headed down, so I invited him to join. As we were hanging out, the friends I'd invited over started making out, and things got awkward. Date went to use the bathroom. One of the friends leaned over and whispered loudly, "IS HE GAY?" I shook my head and gave her that "STFU" look. Date comes out of the bathroom, and asks to speak to me in the hallway. We go out there, and he says, "I'm not comfortable. And I don't do things that make me uncomfortable. So I'm leaving now," and he turned around and left. I honestly don't blame him, because my "friends" were being really creepy. Thankfully, I haven't spoken to either of them in years.

I was a really introvert and closed girl, never made the first move, but there was a guy that I really liked and that was unusal for me. I decided to make a move on him during a party, being comfortable with the place, having a bit of magic water by my side and knowing he was my friend and an introvert himself, so I believed rejection couldn't be that brutal. I danced with him, had fun, and he seemed to like when we started slowdancing, but then he suddenly got away pissed off without saying anything. I wasn't sure what happened, so after a bit I went on the couch with him, not too close in case I was bothering him or something. I didn't want to make him uncorfortable so I talked only about party stuff and he was talking to me, but never looking at me and at some point he stood up and left the party still pissed off. I spent the rest of the party cuddling a cat that was there and questioning all my life choices. I felt too humiliated to insist and I didn't hear from him for months, and even later I didn't meet him that much. And *four years later* it happened that we were talking about common ex-friends, and he casually complained about *that time they made me hit on him at a party* .
the f***er believed I was interested in him because other people (not even present at that party) pushed me to do it. And in the days after, instead of talking to me, he was hiding behind his sisters to try to investigate my reasons, but sure about what he already believed. in his mind I was just a brainwashed idiot, those people were scheming about his love life and he was being "fair" to me not to talk about it because I was some poor victim of the situation and not accountable for that. well man, IMAGINE IF PEOPLE HAD THE AUTHONOMY, THE FREE WILL AND THE DESIRE TO LIKE YOU

I endured a lot of romantic rejection over the years which entirely destroyed my self confidence. I later felt utterly worthless despite being relatively intelligent, well spoken and reasonably good looking (but I am in no way a male model either). Just before my 35th birthday I had decided to remain single and just be my nephew's cool uncle. A week later I met the woman who is now my wife and the mother of our 2month old daughter. I am still deathly afraid of rejection, but in hindsight: had I not been rejected all those times and been told "you are like a brother" I would not have met my wife and been a dad to a perfect little girl. I have to add that I am still a cool uncle, "cool dad" has just been added also.

When I was first starting to flirt with girls and wanting to ask girls out on dates there was this girl that rode my bus and we would talk every now and then and joke around. I would tell my mom and dad that I wanted to ask her out but I was scared. They would say every time “don’t be scared the worst she can do is say no”. So I was having a good day feeling overly confident and when we’re on the bus on the way home from school and I finally got the courage to ask her if she would like to go out sometime (this is the first time ever asking a girl out) and she stares at me for a second then she giggles like it was funny to her I would think I would ever have a shot with a girl like her. Right then the whole bus broke out in laughter mocking me for trying. We were still a few miles from my house but I got off at the next stop and walked the rest of the way home. So saying “all she can do is say no” is stupid because she can do a lot worse lol....... bright side to this story is I was a fat kid at that time and after that I started lifting weights and walking a lot and lost all my weight and joined the military and I do believe I look good enough now that if she was to ask me out today I could laugh in her face lol but I wouldn’t because I know how much that hurts.

You were supposed to feel disgusted and repulsed by her unchildlike behaviour as any normal prepubescent kid who had not yet unlocked their sexuality would (her behaviour was ONLY ok if you were also obviously attacted to her). You were just not skilled of how to deal with it, like any kid would've. You could've asked an adult to tell her how much she made you feel uncomfortable and warned her parents about her behaviour.
If she chose to act much older than she should, she should also face the consequences of the mental age she chose to act with. Again what she did was technically assault. And it was psychological age that really mattered. I do not agree being a 10 year old child was an excuse of doing whatever she wanted. If the same behaviour happened in a work place, she could've at the very least disciplined. Hope you feel better.

I've always been heavy set, I asked a girl out when I was 15 and she said, "no, you're to fat". Saw her again in a few years as I was playing in a band and she was like OMG how have you been haven't seen you in years we should get together. I looked her right in the eyes and said, "I'm sorry, I only date hot women". I don't take rude rejection well. I may forgive but I will never forget and I will get my revenge.

Ghosting is just the inability to deal with adult life! I would never do that to someone. I at least have enough guts to tell someone I hate them to their face! Plus I’m a super loyal friend. I will never talk smack behind someone’s back and I will always have my friends backs. 👍🏻 BTW, many of these are bringing back tons of sad memories. I was bullied and had one of my best friends reject me in front of everyone at school.

Charlotte has talked about being an ugly duckling in several videos. I would like to see a throwback from this "phase she supposedly" had. Cause I definitely don't believe it....

I think people wouldn’t be so afraid of rejection if the ones rejecting didn’t do it in such awful ways sometimes. I hate when women rudely reject nice guys. They scare them and make them too afraid to ask out the right girl.😢 visa versa for us girls.

Olivia Blackburn so true. Fair enough not liking someone, but being mean often isn’t necessary.
I had that happen to me a few times when I was younger and it really dented my confidence.

Steve S I’m sorry. I’ve been rejected in really weird and unnecessary ways. Even though I was not mean to them. I’ve seen guys I would have love to date get turned down in mean ways as well. But at least you know their true nature when they turn you down in a mean way. You know you dodged a psycho bullet 😂

I found the rude ones were best. They hurt, but you got over the girl faster. The ones that try to be nice by not being direct make you think there is a chance you can recover, and you waste more time.
...as I got older I learned there was "YES!" and anything else was a "NO!"
In fact (funny story, I hope) in high school, I asked a girl out and she gave a long story about how she was not available the upcoming weekend because her birthday was last weekend (which was true) and her birthday party was delayed because a hurricane came through the coast where her best friend lived (the hurricane was also true) so the party was moved to this weekend. Okay possibly true, but not helpful in knowing where I stood with her. so I thought for a second and then asked her, "ok...so should I ask you out again or just write you off my list forever?" she thought and said, "definitely ask me out again." we dated for 3+ years after that.
I learned that day if you are afraid of rejection, the best thing to do is to get in its face so closely that you can smell it's fetid breath and face it squarely. No is better than not knowing. RIP THAT BAND-AID OFF! I was fearless after that, and rejection was not fun, but it no longer had power over me.

The Over/UnderThinker yeah I prefer to be nice and direct at the same time. Like not evil but the guy knows I’m saying no. Sadly some guys refuse to be rejected and that’s not a good thing. No means no. Lol. I like that you asked her honestly if you should ask her again. Because it sounds like she really did like you

Yes. I have been rejected in cruel ways before and rarely look to go on dates now.
It was the whole leading me on and being really sweet and enthusiastic then cutting me loose when I actually asked to go on a date.

A person I knew used to make a noise like "huuurrggg" when ever they saw me because of my complexion. They just thought it didn't bother me or something. Later they repeatedly tried to be my friend...it was sooo satisfying rejecting them.

Charlotte you are such a sweetheart! Funny thing, I subscribed to Mike's account after watching gym bros, thinking what a funny great guy he is. Then for some reason I came across your videos on youtube and subscribed (and now chain watching your past videos) and loving both your humor and kindness. It was a pleasant surprise when I found out that you two are together! I'm so happy for you guys, especially as I watch you talk about being catfished and all. Wishing you all the best!
