  • This is an art process video where I layer alcohol inks, a china marker, and permanent markers over collage pieces that have been momigammied and have a pink glaze over them. This art was made as a way to comfort myself after facing some stressors that triggered underlying trauma memories/feelings. The feelings were "trapped and abandoned." During the art making process, God began to speak to me to bring comfort and encouragement, but as He spoke to me, it flowed outwards for you, too. As He comforted me, I hope it comforts you. The insights God gives me might encourage you if you are going through a trial or a long season of having to wait for God to answer a prayer or fulfill a longing, or if you, too, are dealing with past trauma. God also releases a song of comfort. Although I am not a singer, I would hope my soft voice and God's words would comfort you. This is an hour long video in real time. I managed to get the art making done in under an hour, so you will get a good glimpse of my art making process. At the end, I look at the painting to analyze it and share what God shows me. It might be a bit prophetic, too.
This video was inspired by Blake Hellman at the Kitchen Counter Abstract, who used alcohol inks over acrylic paints in her art journal:
