The C300 Mark III supports Cinema Raw Light and can record RAW data inside the camera body without using an external recorder. It also supports XF-AVC, which compresses video data and records it efficiently.
The C300 Mark III is equipped with Dual Pixel CMOS AF with smooth AF operation and high tracking performance suitable for movie shooting. When used with the LCD monitor LM-V2 with touch panel support, high-precision focus adjustment is enabled even during shooting when strict focusing accuracy is necessary.
Haha so i'm totally buying this camera, but I've gotta admit: I watched the original video on Tall Story Films, and was shocked to see that Canon took out anything you had said negative about the camera, thus shortening the video from 18 minutes to 16 minutes. No longer an honest review. But still a great camera.
Hey there, you're right we did make this video shorter, however the only content removed was any reference to the C500 Mark II as we wanted this this video to be more focused on the C300 Mark III.

Thanks for the review. Do you think this camera would be a good first cinema camera? I own a 5D mark iv and a 1DX mark ii. Also a bag of L glass. Not crazy about the idea of upgrading to the R5 and going with all RF lenses. Not going to change my life. The C300 would be new territory. Could use the other two cameras as B cameras. Economy is dodgy but the ability to do more with less usually is a good call.
im torn between this one and the RED Dragon, C300MIII has so many more ease of life functions tho. I just like the R3D from Reds. But their abit slow and def need to plan more before shooting. This def the run & gun king!
so much compression on RUclips I wonder how effective these type of tests even are publishing here... granted, many people just publish to RUclips.. but we are not seeing the true quality by any means here on YT, no?

All the C500 mark II early adaptors got screwed once again by Canon. Why they didn’t include 120fps on that camera is beyond me. Oh yeah, C500 doesn’t have auto focus in all frame rates either- only 24 and 60 frames.
Because it’s shooting full frame 6k, so require significantly more processing power to produce those results. Even shooting in lower resolutions will require even more processing power to down sample on top of that. So even though most people will probably go for the c300, the 500 actually offers something totally unique, especially for more cinema uses when a unique look is the goal. Whereas for corporate uses, the super 35 and better feature set will obviously be more appealing. But the c500 is not redundant, especially compared to the closest comparisons being significantly more expensive.
@@jambononi You don't have that problem in super 35 mode. Rumor has it that Canon is adding 120fps very soon to that camera.
