If we are looking for the Truth of God, we have to set our will aside and consider God will for our lives.
What does the Bible say? These two verses came to mind for your situation.
Mark 14:36 (Jesus words)
And He was saying, "Abba! Father! All things are possible for You;
remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will."
2 Corinthians 12:7 (Paul's words)
or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.
