    懐かしいなあ。2000年ごろから親に連れられて数年間過ごした、そんな幼少期の記憶が蘇る。パースいいところなんだよな。空気がすき。

I reckon after around mid 90s things already started to get a bit crappier, in the cbd at least. Early to mid 90s were great in the cbd

@@yousefalnuman69 depends what parts I guess.. I remeber how lively roe Street in northbridge was in the 90s. Lots of markets cool shops etc. They are now either knocked down vacant land, paid parking or apartments. Roe Street is dead now. I miss omni further up too

Perth has changed allot since 2001

It really has. Felt like a glorified town back then (some would say it still is), but for better or worse it's now a big cosmopolitan city.
Can't believe it's been almost 20 years since the bell tower was built.

Thank you for your video, editing and presenting but seriously looks like it was filmed on the same camera that filmed JFK being shot in 1963.

Ha ha. You’re not far wrong. I was using my old JVC VHS-C camcorder. The first one that came out (same as the one that Marty McFly used in the first BACK TO THE FUTURE movie). A more horrendous piece of shit camera you never saw. The picture sharpness, colour resolution, etc were terrible. And don’t even MENTION the audio quality! It did it’s job as a recording unit I guess, or I wouldn’t have these videos to show, but I upgraded it to a SONY HI 8 as soon as I could afford one.

From the completion of Central Park in 1994 the Perth skyline didn't change until Brookfield Place (BHP) was finished in 2012, almost 2 decades later.

    Hi Paul,
At one point, you filmed footage of my family's business (Fast Eddy's) as you went past. I'm currently trying to gather as much imagery and information on the business, and thats how i happened to find your videos (searching Perth 1980s/1990s and hoping to find anything) It would be so amazing if i could have permission to use that small piece of footage for archiving my family's history, as sadly i have no documentation of it. Let me know.
Thank you for filming it either way!

Hi, Paul - I'm putting together a short film for an end-of-semester project, and I was wondering if it would be possible to use/edit some of this footage as part of it? I looked around for an email address to contact you directly but couldn't find one, hopefully this makes it through. Thanks.
