    Hey Vince! Thank you so much for the exam review! It really helped! Just a couple of questions.
    So for 22 why would you plug in ur values on the factored form of the derivative and not the original equation?
    For 27 why did you plug the limits into u?

      For question 22, I find that it is usually easier to plug into the factored form because it easier to do a few small computations then one big computation, especially considering that we cannot use a calculator for this part of the test. When making a sign chart, we only care if the derivative is giving us positive or negative values, the value itself is not as important as the sign.
      For 27, once we commit to making a u sub for a definite integral, we are allowed to write the limits in terms of u as well. The advantage of doing this is that we do not have to switch everything back in terms of x. Remember that the value of a definite integral with numerical limits is a number. So it is perfectly fine to evaluate the limit in terms of u.

    Hello, is this still a good way to practice for my calc ab test? Or did they change a lot since 1998

      For the most part, the old exams will prepare you well. I would recommend looking up all the topics that will be on the test on the ap collegeboard website. Go down the line and any topic that you do not feel strong with, make sure to practice as many questions as you need to until you have mastered the topic.

    #11. @ 15:15 the answer bothers me (sorry, everyone's a critic!). I agree with everything except the last integral of 0 should = 0 + c which could equal any constant, including 1 or 0, unless I'm missing something. This is a great video and a wonderful review.

      You only need to include a +C with indefinite integrals. When using FTC1 for definite integrals, you sub the upper and lower limit in the antiderivative and subtract. So you would be doing C-C = 0 everytime. That's why we leave the +C out for definite integrals
