NOTE: About the SIM card and cellular plans
For this dashcam, you can use a nano SIM card that has data only service, or data + voice service. The dashcam does not use any voice service, but if you happen to already have a data+voice plan, you can put that SIM card in and starting using the BlackVue Cloud service. As for pricing, ATT and TMobile do offer data only plans for hotspots and tablets for $10-$20/month. As prices may change, please check with your carrier for most current pricing.

I bought this in the Uk few days ago for a Model S which hasn’t have dash cam mode. Works really well. I would be happier if they would give free live footage and charge only companies with a fleet. Ona Tesla you can just leave it on camp mode in car parks and then t have 12v in parking mode.

Unfortunately my LTE reception is crap at home in my driveway and at work. At these two places where I park for long periods of time is when I cannot record or detect any events. Other than this, the dash-cam works great everywhere else I drive and park. ☹️☹️☹️ Is there anyway I can have it detect and operate from my home wifi while parked in my driveway?

What are your top 3 choices for dash cams with supercapacitor? I live in the Northeast region and worry that the heat in the summer and cold winters would make a battery operated dash cam not feasible

I am Uber driver with 10-12 hours per day on the road. It is very important for me to have a continuous recording of the road in front of me and at the same time a continuous recording of passengers behind me. Few questions: can I take the rear view camera and install it on the interior of front windshield videotaping passengers ( passengers behavior, verbal exchange)? This 750 2CH LTE does it have a looping option (automatically recording over previous segment) or every few hours I must change a SIM card? Or, should I use any other dash cam for my line of work ? Any recommendations? Thanks.
You should look at a 3-channel dashcam, the front dashcam will have a camera that records the interior of the vehicle showing the driver and passengers. The micro sd card will rewrite it self (loop recording). The sim card in the case of the Blackvue DR750-2CH LTE is used to upload recordings to the cloud.
Have this product have gotten worked its cloud outside of north america? like with other simcard? or have been tried with the same simcard from the provider gives, outside of northamerica?

I have this dash cam and I want to sell it cheap because I bought it just for the capability of accessing it from the LTE web. Unfortunately they don’t tell you that you have to use their service. AT&T won’t work unless it’s a 4g SIM card and they don’t make 4g cards anymore.

My DR750 2ch LTE gets off parking mode with no reasons. It’s not windy. It’s not moving. I’m not in the car. And once in the while, it disconnect from the network to reconnect right away. Is any of you guys have those problems?

To get live view do you need the LTE ... so other model like the 900 series won’t have live view unless you get a separate LTE module?
You have to have LTE to get remote connection.

Also, I dont have an Iphone can I still use this cameras on android phone? and last thing I need a camera where I can see if someone scratch my car on the side doors. It did not have in cabin camera. It does not record the side of the car. It connects to Android phone.

Is there a way to have the BlackVue Cameras automatically switch from the LTE connection to my home WiFi once it’s detected? When my vehicle is parked in my driveway I want it on the home WiFi connection but I can’t seem to have it switch seamlessly .
It does not auto switch from 4G to Wifi.

For US LTE carrier, has anyone figured out how to get it to work with Verizon data plan? I’m having trouble setting up with Verizon sim.
Actually I figured it out! This how you do it folks in North America with Verizon SIM 4G or 5G.
Ensure an IMEI is registered with Verizon. Technically it doesn’t have to be the IMEI of the BlackVue cam so it’s totally up to you.
Once your logged into your Cloud account, figure out how to get to your SIM card settings, then do the following:
IMEI and ICCID/SIM ID should already be populated by your SIM card. This may take multiple trials but hopefully this data is fetched within a few tries. If it’s not automatically fetched, then this short and not comprehensive tutorial might not work for you.
For The APN input field enter “internet” like so
APN: Internet.
Username and Password not required. I haven’t figured out what those fields are for but please chime in if you do know.
Save it. Note that the app is not the best in response so be patient or try again. That’s all.

I am using a SIM card from TMobile Magenta Plan that has voice & unlimited data for $40 per line (this price is with 4 lines which my family has). They also have an Essential line for $30 with voice & unlimited data & tax on top.
G George they have a data only tablet plan for 10$ a month 2Gigabyte 4G then unlimited 3G. I am currently using a data only plan with AT&T for $20 a month for the unlimited

You have to install the SD card in the dashcam.

@@izzymars5148 no, you can get Live view if you have a Hotspot in your car which the camera connects to. The other method is the SIM card for cellular service. You will need to have your camera connected to one of those two options for live view connectivity.

This camera sucks, I bought 2. One for my Jeep and one for my F250. They always disconnect from the cloud and are impossible to reconnect. After numerous try’s disconnecting and reconnecting the power maybe you’ll connect. I’ve exchanged 1 camera 3 times and on my second time with the other camera. Both were professionally installed. Save your sanity and stay away! Very disappointed!

You can use a SIM card that has data only or voice+data. For this application you only need data usage. Please check with your cellular carrier for latest prices.

The main problem I found with dash cam is the battery replacement
All BlackVue dashcams use a supercapacitor, and not a rechargeable battery.
