Blueberry jam / compote.
(You can also ad a tea spoon of chia seeds to further thicken it up) Squish 2 cups of blueberries and place in a small pan. Cook on low heat until the blueberries reduce and thicken. Add some sugar and lemon juice to taste. I used the whole lemon and 1,5 tbs of sugar.

Ohhh why am I crying? I am new, just subscribed, and this whole vlog speaks to my soul. I have only been slow-living for a few months now, but it has made such a difference in my mental health. I don't clean fast anymore; I take my time, enjoy the fruits of my work. I go outside more, sit in the grass longer, listen to birds and close my eyes when the breeze is especially flirty. I give my child my undivided attention when he is speaking. I journal daily but I don't bind myself to filling up a page, if it's not in me to do so. Seeing your life with your family reminds me I'm on the right path; that this is what I need personally to feel joy. Thank you for this. I'm looking forward to binging your channel.

I am 19 right now, and this is exactly i want in life "peace" after 4 years i'll be done with my engineering and i will try to live like this among woods, nature, books, slow moving life, and a great family, i just wish i can find someone like this who wants same thing

Hey, just know that you don't need to wait to implement some! I'm also a uni student and take the time to read in the evenings and do the small things like showering and getting ready for bed without distractions of music. Small things make the change and gratitude always helps :)

I loved your reminder not to wait until you have a Pinterest like life and start now to enjoy slow living. I've found myself saying "Once I'm out of this town, I'll start XY". But life is too short to wait for everything to fall into place. So, instead I will start today. Reading, caring for my plants, going for a walk with the child I'm babysitting and end the day with a slow cooking dinner in the evening. It doesn't have to be perfect. I just want so start :)

There are soooo many slow life-videos out there where they just cook, clean an already perfect house, cook, clean again...I think you get it. I try to find joy in simple life. Even when I have a hard day on my work or my kid is ill. Life is imperfect. But still amazing ❤
I really needed this reminder to not wait for everything to be perfect. I found myself getting really obsessed today about needing the right decor, pots, house, etc. And it's helpful to remember how lucky I am to have what I have now and that I can use it just as is :) Urgency is now needed.

This was SUCH lovely video, thank you! I live in New York city, and I live near a hospital, so ambulances are a CONSTANT thing where I live, yet, I find time every day while I'm cooking to slow down and be intentional. I love cutting vegetables because it allows me to do just that, slow down to avoid injury. It's one of my favorite past times of the day, and I used to HATE cooking
I appreciate the sentiment. I watch these "gentle" vlogs and I think, well if I lived in Europe too etc... But the fact is I don't and probably have to make the most of what is around me and appreciate that.
Start your vlogs too. That's the purpose of it, we want to know how your life is even if you're not in Europe 🙂 it doesn't have to look fancy or such. I'm in the UK, but I have a different life of hers lol. But watching vlogs like this relaxes me.

I recently came across a recipe for fruit preserves using fruit & chia seeds. NO sugar. Can use as a topping or a pudding. I like cherries bc of their natural sweetness, but can use whatever you prefer. So yummy.
I like using chia seed to thicken the jam, but in this case I wanted it to be more runny ☺️ I wouldn’t skip the sugar, you don’t have to overdo it but small amount makes like sweeter 😉

Enjoying each day has become an art form in our fast paced world. If there was anything good that came out of 'the lockdown' period, I think it would be the slowing down of time. Families learned to enjoy each other's company, sports events came to a halt and kids spent more time with parents. I hope many will try to keep the good and let the bad fly away!!!

Hey, I just stumbled upon your channel and I must say - although it might sound mean - I was glad when the pituresque cottage and rustic kitchen AND beautiful windows turned out NOT to actually be your home, just a dream so many of us seem to share. I love how you encourage to live your life slow and meaningful in just the place you're at right now without all the picture perfect surroundings and accessories - and allthewhile you can even use 'modern' kitchen gadgets, too 😅
Of course, the cottagecore aesthetic isn’t real, even if you live in a period cottage, people still use washing machines and cars to get to places 😅

This is also exactly how I grew up. I lived in a very old house built in the early 1900's with 10acres of land to play on. And when I moved out I thought I wanted a faster pace life. I moved to an apartment in a big city and wished I could go back to this peaceful life. I love watching this video
