I think we all, including myself to be transposed the great love story from the movie into real life, but such romance has nothing to do with real life, is just acting, or maybe he wanted to hear what everyone wanted to hear, otherwise they would be together or at least they did date, but instead they had and have separated lives with all that chemistry

As I am a girl myself, don't judge, but when ed does interviews with men he comes out of his shell a bit, maybe that's because , like he said he gets shy when approaching woman but I don't think it is, I feel like when he gets interviewed by a girl, the girl always throws themself on him so he kinda gets shy
