This woman answered your question in the video. She clearly states to see if the phrase or word is trademarked and she put the link in this video!

7:11 from my understanding and research, you are not allowed to use phrases or quotes from people (unless they've been dead for x amount of years I don't remember the number) without their written permission. I had the idea to put funny quotes from a popular youtuber onto t-shirts, but stopped dead in my tracks when I read this (from a Google search).
Can you comment on this? Do you have other info to contradict or add? TIA ❤ Yes, I understand you are not a lawyer and are not giving legal advice 😅

You need to run everything through the uspto site. Certain phrases will only be usable once they hit the public domain (quotes from Pooh bear, authors famous people etc) Best to come up with your own phrases or variations of the original! As far as abandoned vs dead on uspto, they answer a lot of these questions specifically on their site! If a trademarked phrase has been abandoned the original owner does have time to revive it, but someone else can come In and files a new trademark in the meantime…(Google the sierra mist situation!! That’s an interesting story of an abandoned trademark!)
