- In this video I show you the bare bones basics of TVPaint (version 11 Pro), but you don't have to have Pro to follow along! I go over a few ways to color and make backgrounds, as well as a brief animation. Let me know what you think!

This helped me a lot. I am a retired senior citizen , taking courses at a local college . I was a cameraman all my life and barely learned photoshop basics at the end of my career. I always day dreamed of doing cartoons and tv paint is the program I chose. It seemed so layered and complex I could not get to first base. This video really helps me see how to do primitive ideas and get started. Thank you so much.
I am so happy to help!! Thank you for watching and I am so excited to see what you create, if you post anything on RUclips I would love to see it! Have fun with TVP!! ❤️
this is the cutest tutorial I have seen
Awh this warms my heart! Thank you!
@@imsmallfry wasn't expecting you responding! Since you did I will give you this hint, try holding CTRL while drawing in the timeline in TvPaint! See what happens
but did it HelP
Simp spotted
THANM YOU SO MUCH, I’m going to an animation workshop next week in France and I haven’t spoken French in a while so I wanted to be prepared to get to know the program instead of not understanding the prof speaking French explaining the program anyways yeah thanks a lot I learned about the texture/colour layer thing and omg u changed my life, I used to just colour on a layer underneath without being able to fill it 😭
You have a great teaching style! - clear, concise, methodical -yet w/ a really happy feeling. It is so easy to learn from you! Thank you so much! I have previously been struggling and slogging through trying to consolidate some very fuzzy knowledge gleaned from the manual, other tutorials and a dizzying array of forums until I came across your great straight shooting and joyful tutorial. YAAAAAY!
Probably one of the best beginner tutorials Ive listened too for this application. Very well presented and easy to follow, thanks.
im using TVPaint for an animation class this upcoming school semester. Learning remote can feel isolating so your videos have been a HUGE help as I learn something new in an unconventional time for learning.
I’m so happy to hear I’ve helped!!! I hope you really enjoy your class, I’d love to see any projects you complete with TVP!
This is an excellent tutorial! I've been using tv paint for some time and this video taught me things that I missed or never learned. I will definitely show this to other people that want to learn tv paint. Looking forward to more tutorials! :D
Thank you so much for this short tutorial! Been searching for a suitable animation program for months now and it seems like TVpaint is the one after this and testing it out as well.
So useful!! I have a project for uni due in a few days and you literally saved me like an hour of tutorial videos. Also, love your energy - this video was not the slightest bit boring :D epic keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! All the other tutorials where SUPER long and I didn't have enough patience to sit through 45 minutes of a boring tutorial, but this was so much fun to watch!
I'm so glad that I could help and entertain! I have trouble keeping focused for long tutorials too, but if the person seems excited about the work it's much better for me, so I tried to make this video as light and fun as possible :D
Thank you for this video. I’ve been using TVPaint for a long time, but I’m always pleasantly surprised when a video shows me something new. I learned something new from yours.
This looks much easier than Adobe animate, I might use it
There's pros and cons to both programs. Coloring is 1000 times faster in TVpaint. Doing finished line art is more convenient in adobe animate, since you can resize and adjust without losing line quality since adobe is vector.
Simple, helpful, easy to understand and above all else, awesomely cute. Keep up the good work.
Haha I love your personality so much!! xD You're entertaining and informative, thank you very much for making this!
this is the best tutorial ive seen for anything! its very engaging and really easy to follow. i usually get bored watching tutorials but you kept me entertained the whole time. love party puppy too lol
Wow thank you!! I really appreciate that! Party Puppy is gonna party in your honor :D
Wow who knew that pitch meeting would prepare me for dongle in this way.
This is probably the best video for learning about tv paint and its so cute too. Thanks so much
Thank you! you taught everything we need to know to start in a short compact video
I know this video has been here a while, but I still want to thank you for this! This lessens the overwhelming feeling of trying out a new software!
Very well explained! I normally do not comment on other peoples vids. But yours is a top notch tutorial. Keep it up!

This is perfect for beginners like me TT Thank you so much! This is exactly what I need.
Ohmygosh this was a really fun intro to TV Paint. I just went all in and bought it, I'm pretty excited to dive in and make some fun animated music videos with it. Thanks for this vdeo, your personality is really fun and wonderful! Hahaha, hope to see more fun content soon! :D

Man I wish I knew about the coloring option for years...
I didn’t figure it out for a while too! I think it’s one of the more recent additions- I didn’t know about it until 2016
I've been using TVPaint for 6 years and I'm still learning new things!
Thank you so much for the video! Super helpful

This tutorial is so helpful thank you
Super helpful! thanks!
nice vid! I like your candor, "I don't know what that button does, I never use it". (something to that effect). Nice pacing, too.
Thank you! I'm sure that button is important somehow and I'm gonna make it my mission to find out how XD Thank you for watching!

Brilliant!! Incase we want to move the background grass, giving a wind effect, how do we do it?
I loved this tutorial. Thank u. I want to know how to COPY frame and use it further. (e. g. 5 number frame, need to use on frame no. 8)
thank you so much for this cute tutorial!
Thank you for watching!!! 💓
this was awesome! thank you!! your voice also reminds me from princess bubblegum from adventure time, which made this even more of a joy to watch :)
Very nice video, definitely useful and informative. Your voice is also nice :)
Ty! I might try the free trial !
Thank you so much it was really helpful !! ;;;;;;
Wooow...thank you 😍
your voice is so cute and your tutorial is fun to watch
Thank you so much for your tutorial! There's only a few good tutorials on RUclips. On an unrelated note, you sound a kinda like Claire Corlett, a voice actor for MLP

The way you talk is sooo adorable
Thank you very much
Thank you!
I LOVEE HOW YOU TEACH AND THAT VOICE
Aw thank you so much!! And thank you for watching!!

Thaaank youuuu!!!
Hi, this was so so helpful! What dongle brand do you have or what do you recommend beginners to purchase?
Does anyone know how to bring back an accidentally deleted brush? I deleted my favourite chalk brush and can't find a way to bring it back :(
this is very helpful for 2d hand-drawn animation.
Wow! Your tutorial is very well articulate! Will you ever do a tutorial on toon boom harmony?
Thank you!! I need to get a copy of toon boom, my subscription ran out! But it’s possible in the future ❤️
smallfry thank you much. can you explain or express how to follow on tvpaint animation pro 10. this was great.
Hey ! Thank you for the tutorial
But I’m wondering if we can import an audio in TVPAINT ?
If not , can you recommend an animation softwares where we can import audio ?
This is super helpful! Thank you so much, i'm thinking about getting TVpaint & I have a question. Does the creation pack come with the animation feature? The site was a little unclear and I just needed a little clarity before making a purchase! Thanks
soggy toes I’m glad you found it helpful! I don’t have the creation pack but it seems to me that it’s just an expansion pack and doesn’t contain the entire animation program, but does contain some brushes, color pickers and other add-ons for the program. I hope that helps!
@@imsmallfry thank you so much! I'm so dumb because it says that in the title. So glad that I didnt buy that instead of the standard edition :o Thank you again!
soggy toes no problem! To be honest I had to look it up to really understand what it was xD I’m happy I could help!!
How do you not have the white background. I want to work with transparencies n alpha channels but this isn’t as obvious as photoshop and it’s hard to find the answer online just says activate transparency button but it doesn’t take away that white square no matter what layer
很棒的教程!
Thanks so muuuuuuuch! This really helped ^^
thank good iOS and Androis are for freeeee uvu
by the way when you click new color and texture layer option is removed and latest version.
thank u i just want to start making animation
pls tell me which is best for 2d animation
Blender or tv paint or toon boom harmony?
They lost me as soon as I found out it requires a dongle! 1995 called, they want their outdated, draconian copy protection back.
exactly 😂😂 wtf
@@myr940 it’s still a good software tho
Aside from the great tutorial! You sound like PB from Adventure Time haha
which version would you recommend purchasing?
awesome
Hey,if i purchased the full Version do i need the educical license too
So that program gonna work or is not nessassary!?!? And your Videos are great 🤗
Thank you for the soooo cute tutorial 🥺 Does this program require a tablet?? Couldn’t I use the ordinary mouse to draw something on this program?? I’ve been wondering it... 🥲
good tutorial :D
Thank you!!
I’m having trouble to decide what I should get should I get tvpaint or Adobe animate. I’m mostly just looking for a good animation software that’s good with hand drawn animation
good job on the dongle,a.k.a flash drive, I got one question ❓ could you get done on a project, and remove your drive, can you reuse to flashdrive and use that software?, that's my question
