I would like to see with the clear hose after the presure is released and the hose is "self drained" put a bucket at one end and roll the hose up see how much water does not "self drain" keep up the great videos I find them very helpful!!! thank you!
Be very careful rubbing it over jaded rocks, it can tear a hole in it. I've also heard if you leave it PRESSURED and leave it out for a week in the sun (forget to drain it), it will BLOW!!! Other than that I love this hose! Thanks for the review.
Very nice Parris! I'm actually in the market for a new hose, as my old one that was 9 yrs old, finally bit the dust. Being as I suffer from arthritis in my left hand and must use a medical scooter to move around outside, AND being as I have quite an extensive container garden with veggies, herbs and strawberries, the lightweight nature of this hose would be definitely something I can use to my advantage. I still am interested in waiting until you do the new and improved pocket hose before I decide though.
Regardless of the material you hose is made of, you should never leave it residually pressurized after you shut off the spigot. If you look at the top of the handle of your pistol grip nozzle, you will see a small 'u'-shaped piece of SS or chrome wire that pivots up and down. That is there to lock the handle of the nozzle in the open position. You should always use this when you are done using the hose. Leaving the whole works pressurized puts unnecessary stress on the hose and nozzle; also, even if you feel that your hose and nozzle can handle that level of pressure indefinitely, consider the following scenario: You have shut off the water and have not released the pressure. The fully pressurized hose sits out in the heat of the sun. As the water inside the hose heats up, it expands and consequently increases the pressure exerted on everything. Left long enough on a hot enough day can create sufficient pressure to rupture the hose or nozzle (a plastic one, anyway) So, the takeaway is to always leave the nozzle locked open or if you can't do that, remove or loosen the nozzle to allow pressure to escape. You will increase the usable life of all components and avoid an untimely hose blow-out. Also, don't be a hoser, ay?
Your Clear-Flow review didn't mention that it contains Zero carcinogens! Great for those who would like to keep their plants and vegetables free of chemicals!
I needed a new hose and my Mother texted me and said BB&B had the Pocket Hose. I told her NO WAY! I watched you guys and how bad it worked and then saw how bad the reviews on amazon were. I cannot believe they are still selling those and people are still buying them. Cheaply made overseas product that will surely end up at 5 below or even Dollar Tree since there are millions of them out there. Do not waste your money. I like tgis clear one however I can't justify spending $40-$50 on a hose that I only use a couple of months out of the year. Good review though. Thanks,
All those weird hoses are junk! I purchased a no kink hose at Walmart for 20 bucks years ago I leave it outside in the winter and it still workes perfect

It will be interesting to see how it ages to find out whether it is as non-durable as x-Hose products.

Good info. No more drinking from the hose! Liked and subscribed
Hmm, I would think algae would be a problem with it being clear. Still, looks like a nice hose to own.

Updates? Did it hold up?

Catherine M He did say it doesn’t have dangerous chemicals like other hoses that contain chemicals with carcinogens.

Good thing you are not in California or you'd be busted by the drought police for wasting that water, especially if it's not your 'watering' day! 💧
