@@nocapproductions5471 - I completely understand where you're coming from when you say the late 1990s were peak bodybuilding. That era was marked by legendary figures like Ronnie Coleman, who began his reign as Mr. Olympia in 1998. The rivalries he had with icons like Flex Wheeler, Kevin Levrone, and Shawn Ray were truly memorable. Dorian Yates's earlier dominance with his unparalleled training approach and massive back really defined what many saw as the golden age of bodybuilding. While it's known that bodybuilders back then did use performance-enhancing substances, there seemed to be a balance between artistry and sheer size. Regardless, Levrone and Fux to name a few are still in my Chiquita boxes, memorable magazine that I will always cherish, nice memories. The images bring back a great time, the drive comes back. The pump and the goal in mind and an aggressive mind. Fast forward to 2023, and while the sport continues to evolve, there's a growing sentiment that bodybuilding has become more about pushing the limits of steroid use rather than focusing on the symmetry, aesthetics, and quality of physiques. The classic look of bodybuilders from the '90s had a certain harmony to it that many feel is missing today. Grtz
At one time, he walked among a few of the very best who ever did it. He may not have a Sandow, but his place in the legendary status in pro bodybuilding is more than solidified.
Probably the greatest body builder never to have one the O but his era was probably the best of all time every top 5 contender from 2000 could win the O today
O cara vivia 6 meses por ano pro fisiculturismo, os outros 6 meses ele tirava de férias e ia fazer as turnê com a banda kkkkkkk o cara é impressionante, um verdadeiro exemplar de genética perfeita.
Prime Levrone looked like no other bodybuilder. He was huge but still looked athletic as cat. Those two are opposite things but Kevin managed to combine them.Premium genetics.
The 90s/2000s were the most stacked era of bodybuilding ever. The guys who placed 3rd, 4th, or even 5th would blow a lot of current Mr Olympias out the water. If it wasnt for legends like Ronnie Coleman and Dorian Yates then Levrone, Wheeler, and Ruhl all would had Sandows of their own.
His response to the roids was incredible, putting up with all that and although he was undisciplined, every time he returned to the stage, it was crazy to see, the symmetry, the shapes, the musculature.
@@ParkerYr I can’t think of anyone who responded better to steroids than him. I really can’t. It genuinely made him perfect and I don’t think he deserved to not get an olympia
It took just a year for Kevin to go from super skinny to his shape in 2016. Probably another 10 or 12 months he would be his former size again. He is a prime example of muscle memory.❤
