I have the same device. I found that it is not for everyone. Successful applications require an advanced skill set of knowledge and competency in computer technology: hardware, software, connectivity, and translation. I think a main advantage is its ethernet capability. Otherwise, i can just plug an extrrnal storage unit to my phone or camera and download media directly to it.
Can you connect an electrical powered USB hub to the USB port of the NewQ filehub so I can connect extra USB devices like USB flash or hard drives and other USB devices

Thereafter I would load the pictures from the SD card to my phone via the gadget's WiFi. I need to use the SD transfer in wilderness without any net connections. Only devices at hand would be my phone and the gadget with SD slot creating WiFi around it for picture transfer. Does anything like this exist?

Dear, have You try us it today? App RAV filehub I can not not run on three IOS devices and app disappeared from APP Store ;-( I hate devices which are quick out of service.
I bought the filehub. The new one has USB-C connectivity. I'm having problems getting it to work though. Sandisk HD to USB-A port with included cable. SD card (Lexar V60) with video/photos. Press the backup button - it starts Red Flashing the SD card (a good sign I think) but then fails and turns pink. The manual does not show trouble codes. Thoughts?
My ios ipad with software version 16.3.1 will not play videos downloaded from RUclips, but my old ipad with version 9.3.5 will show the video portion of downloads. Do you know how to make the newer version show the video portion of a download. The audio portion works ok.

What is the maximum capacity of external hard drive it works with. You used only a 1tb
i wish this were more robust. i'm thinking redundant storage, verification, and parity via one of the advanced file systems

You need external storage
can it manage incremental backups? (only copy the new files present on SD card)

Yes it can. I have the ravpower old version. The file transfer isn’t 5g fast. I’ve tried to figure it but it’s slow but I like it a lot.

Just returned this. Router really sucks. Got 10 gb/second on 5g. Forget about transferring your video files witeless. Useless.
