- We have done videos on how to blow a goose call, but never a video explaining how and when to use those sounds while in the field! In this video I go over a few scenarios from spotting birds at a distance and finishing them all the way to the hole! Hope you enjoy it!
The call i blew in this video is the short fuse! You can get yours

Just got my first goose call last month. Been dependent on friends for 20yrs.
Doing some early preseason stalking on the local empty pond. No ducks no geese, so I tried every one of your moves on some incoming sand hill cranes. They weren't impressed. This week would have been year 19 hanging with our friendly neighbors to the north wackin' n stackin'. Thanks alot 'Rona.
Oh dear hand me my short fuse here comes some more sand hills....
I’m going out in the morning for the first hunt of the year. This helped a lot as I’m normally not the guy who calls.
First solo public kayak hunt today hopefully i get to step seven!! I bought the short fuse last week first time using it too.
Putting my JT SFX to work in a couple weeks in ND. Cant wait! First season with your call.
Thank you for these awesome calling videos! Appreciate it, man.
Absolutely! Thank you for watching them!
Really like these vids! I’m just learning how to do this waterfowl thing and I appreciate your teaching techniques.
Thank you! Thats what im here for!
Been looking for a video like this!!!
Thanks for watching! Hope it helped you!!
Subbed. Great vid!
I remember I, myself had to call in a flock in within 200 yards out it took them 5 times to fly back and fourth just to land. Finally, they landed and have a good shot on them. One man call is a hella work n working on the birds with 8 floaters.
How did you do that note at 2:12???
You can’t get on the x if all the farmers say no when ask permission to hunt there😂😂
i think you're cool man, gonna do my best to not suck this weekend early goose opener. 2nd yr doin waterfowlin, new to calling. question, so find the X. public land so not much for fields, more marshy waters here in MN. got a kayak. do ya just drive around and see if the geese are there? take note of time of day, is that consistent at all...?
Pretty much
Yeah they stay in water until the wind picks up when the wind picks up then they have to go feed
Which call is this?
Can you make a video calling geese over water or is it the same thanks man
we dont hunt water at all, but it should be very close to the same!
Yeah i have hunted geese and duck over both and the sound that you make and how you call does not differ if you are hunting land or water, i usually hunt both over land but i think goose hunting is better on land and duck is better on water (usually) but there have been times where we have had thousands of ducks on land and there have been times where we have had hundreds of geese on water so it just depends on their pattern becausr they both have to go to land and water sometime but i dont believe the calls really matter to answer you question
What a fantastic vid!Are you feel interested in testing our microphone?:) That is a kind of microphones which is suitable to filming.
Do geese have ears? How do they hear you calling?
Hillbillyhunter good fugin question......... I was always told they see in sound waves. They evolved in 1987 to do this. Think they bred with bats maybe
Oh and nice video sir. Keepem coming
They hear through holes under their wings
1:26
