    I think LVC now make their raw 501’s in Japan now - I just bought a pair of 1947 501’s and the quality is fantastic .

    They sure don't make them like they used to. Today, you are lucky to get one season out of a pair of Levis jeans as they are now made to break down alot faster.

      It all depends on where your buying your Levi’s. There are different tiers now. It’s confusing, but, that’s what happens when a clothing company gets this large.

      I wore an Amazon pair of Levi’s 501s from raw every day for a year. Only had knee tears, but those are easy to repair. Make sure you’re always buying 100% cotton pairs.

      i also like the 1966 but my problem is front pockets are way to shallow even for my iphone 7. just half an inch would have made it my all time go to jeans. i have a cone mill pair sitting as a collector piece and have purchased the 1947 which has deeper front pockets. but a slimmer thigh.

    • @xCreepyKidsx
      @xCreepyKidsx 4 года назад +1

      All vintage are unsanforized raw and will shrink quite a bit and are unfortunately not US made or Japanese made. I've seen a lot of negative reviews because the sizing appears to differ far too highly among pairs and the made in X country part for the price range. People have bought multiple of the same exact model in the same exact size and found they're all over the place in the waist and inseam depending on country of origin.

    I will appreciate if some one explain me what is the difference between raw denim and indigo denim. The most recent editions (LVC) have been made with raw denim which wasn't the denim originally used, which was thicker and stronger, by the way.

    • @andy86i
      @andy86i 4 года назад +3

      Mario Lopez everything you said is wrong.

    • @xCreepyKidsx
      @xCreepyKidsx 4 года назад +3

      Indigo is the color dye used raw denim just means unsanforized and will shrink when washed. All denim used to be raw no jeans were sanforized as it didn't exist back then. Your information is inaccurate suggest you actually research it.

    • @drwisdom1
      @drwisdom1 11 месяцев назад

      Very simple. All denim uses indigo to make them blue. Raw means it hasn't been washed so it will shrink approximately 10% after washing. You must buy raw denim larger than your true size or it will never fit after washing. That is super important but a lot of buyers won't listen.

    I have 1954 501 jeans made in turkey I bought online from the uk..are they vintage I seen that they should say made in usa

    • @wendellladiana4441
      @wendellladiana4441 2 года назад

      ..they are literally vintage if the levis jeans is truely made in 1954(check the care tags)..coz vintage requires years made..the jeans is also legit/authentic coz the co.in turkey is licensed to manufacture levis jeans..but they are not the "Original" like the ones that are "Made in the USA"..

      Levi's quit making clothes in America over 20 years ago. Look at the tags in your Levi's.
