Dang, driving to the nearest airport, flying over to the UK from Germany, drive to the shop, buying things and then travel back home is still cheaper than driving to my local GW store and buy everything new...
😂😂😂😂
I'll be going there too next time I come over....
Nice boozers in mirfield too
LOL! I was thinking the same thing but I’m in Malaysia!!!✈️🏝
I wish I had a local second hand store. I just completely abandoned GW models when I got into resin printing so I've got some kits laying about never to be used.
It's not even a pile of shame, it's pile of abandonment.
Wouldn't mind getting rid of it without all of the extra work that goes into selling stuff online.
I know what you mean
No need to be hostile. Where do you live ? China ? No ones going to jail for making a couple bucks selling some 3d printed minis. You seen etsy lately ? Its like a discount forgeworld. And a perfect FU to GW for being pricks.
Pile of Shame? Cupboard of Despair? Chest of Disappointment? Armoire of Bad Life Choices?
Carport of failure.
Locker of Lamentation
The fact that you got a custom daemon prince conversion in that trade is such high value. That's a Gellerpox infected nightmare hulk basen and Gellerpox in general are a real pain to get affordably. That's a real good score
Its actually just the arm and belly from the gellerpox the base is the ogryid from slaves to darkness face is from gou mace
@@redacted8374 OH! So it is, yeah I see it more clearly now yeah. Still those bits and bobs from those kits are a paint to get. Always anted to do some daemon prince conversions with them as a foundation. Ive done my own with a fomoroid crusher and its awesome, but using gellerpox straight off the bat already has all the nurgle taint to make an easy conversion happen.
Ah yes, the 'flappy-flappy wingbird', one of JRRT's most famous creations.
Sweet macro level changes to unify that whole army. I'm always amazed at how you apply simple yet effective processes to get whole armies done like this.
I'm soooooo making a pilgrimage to Mirfield Miniatures, going to Liverpool next week, can't wait to pop over.
Luke, these have to be my favourite types of videos. I watch a lot of retro game hunting videos so this is right up my alley 🙌🙌
Luke, "At least I'm sticking t' title of t' video." (Trades 19 Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game minis for a decent sized collect of mini plus 10 quid) 😆
That Geek Gaming Scenics Real Rust™ effect paint is amazing.
The Drone-shot of Mirfield was quite a surprise; you and Josh are really upping your production values even more.
would never have found Mirfield with out you. Made a few trips over the hills from manchester...fantastic place
this is wot appens wen ya stick stuff on t'internet, Lancastrians crossin border to buy up our Yorkshire minis ... Yorkshire Minis for Yorkshire Folk
They look awesome Luke, the uniform basing pulls them together, and the oil painting seems to be working for you :) would be interesting to see you use oils on something small like a troll slayer or maybe even go the other way with another bust, you'll be able to get some awesome vibrant orange hair and creamy skin tones with the oils.
such a cool idea! there is a store not too far from that buys minis/armies like this.. i actully just bought some Revivers .. but i didnt to trade smething in to offset cost!!
I love places like this - that obviously try to help local gamers community grow , but i dont understand one thing : how dont they get lots of knobs that check every day to buy out best deals only to lob them on Ebay ? I see plenty of those on tabletop markets, this place sounds like a real magnet for them...
I live in the states. I wish we had a local shop with that sort of a program. The only shop I know of locally that handles used stuff typically prices them about the same as new figures or higher. And usually they are broken, missing pieces, and have atrocious paint on them. Basically not worth the extra effort when you could buy new. I have bought a lot of used figures at better prices and made them work. But usually these are ebay buy and rescue things. A lot of stripping, repairs, and then prime and paint.
The paintjob on that proxy Great Unclean One is killer dude. I think that's my favourite paint job I've seen you do. So sick.
Wish we had shops like this down under!
Definitely got to take some time out and visit the store at some point. Looks like a dream come true 😂
It's fantastic that you have advertised his shop : seems like a great place.
I can't believe I watched the whole thing Good for you great hobby anything that keeps you busy keeps you positive
What a brilliant idea & result.
Looks sick too..... Get it...... I'll get my coat.
Lotr probably has the best rule set out of any GW game.
Especially when battle for middle-hearth came out.
I wish there was a shop like this in Bristol!
That rust looks amazing!
I like that character model. I think it's converted but not sure. Bought from Mirfield loads of times.
@@redacted8374 How can I get or make one? Can't see him on your insta.
Nice. Love Dark Gods, has perfect files for both the Nurgle and Ork in me. Your Great Uncleanish one came out great!!
I dont know what it is , but I love those exchange/rescue type videos!!! - Thanks!
Cheers Luke ,
That is one disgusting hord ! Nice .
I wish I lived close enough to pop into Mirfield , (Ho-Hum)
He He "Us older gamers " Yeh right , cheeky kid! 😊
~Luv~Luv~Luv~
🐺
It looks great! Can Mike/Mick/Mark open up a mirfield in Amsterdam?
Wow, I've never even heard of something like this existing in the USA. How cool.
The rust is amazing.
by the way they look awesome and are much more coherent now that you added your finishing touches!!
I must visit this place sometime ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hey Luke, can u advise where to get large foamboard sheets from in the UK and what brand if it makes a difference, me n some mates wanna build a gaming board but most of the stuff I've found is really thin, can't find the big sheets I've seen u use.
Hi Luke, just a quick question mate, I'm just getting into Bolt Action and Im building a 6X4 table to play on I've got a couple of boxes of Polycell powder filler, can I swap the tile grout out of your soil and grout mix and use the poly cell instead ???
I think the closest thing we get to this here is miniature silent auctions. Kings of War goldmines!
That uncleanish one is so gnarly looking
Really fun video, not sure if we have a store like this in So California but would be a treasure to have. 🍻
Wish there was a store like this in austria :(
The rust looks awesome dude. Great vid again.
asked about grass when it's done do you have to have a spray on top so that it doesn't fall off 🤠🤠
Luke did you wait for the oil wash to dry before varnishing on the GUO??
I went to mirfield once when I was "Oop nurth", sadly he had covid so it was closed 😂
Wish it was closer to where I live! Great video thanks.
I wish we had a mirfield miniatures here lol that place is awesome
Desperate times.
Luke, what's the best glue for making grass tufts?
I have tried quite a few but just can't seem to produce good results.
@@GeekGamingScenics Cheers, I will get some ordered over the weekend.
which airbrush are you using it seems that everyone i follow on youtube uses the same one so it must be good
I really have to get to Mirfield one day.
lookin good! 🙂
I’m so jealous, I’m a nurgle man and always will be
Love the video and I really need to get to mirfield! Any praetorian videos coming soon?
Love the video, Mirfield minitures is absolutely amazing. Mark is lovely and reallly helped me make the most of my old hammer models. Highly recommend.
Why are there trees in the cupboard of despair?
Good job. That was interesting.
I absolutely would have bet a round at the pub that you couldn't walk out staying inside you budget...😆 If I ever make it bake to the UK... I owe you 1🍺...maybe 2... 🍻
Making a pilgrimage from Scotland to Mirfield next month with my son just so we can go to the shop. Can't wait! 🙂
Very cool video and concept!
what is the name of that ikea cabinet?
Thank you so much! Such a helpful video 😊
Excellent job
I'd love to visit Mirfield minis one day, it looks amazing. Might have to make my way up from the south coast. Enjoyed the video as always, love love love!
when i try to get to the local distrutors page on your site i get a 404, looks like i got rederected to the EU site and that is page is not there
Awesome army
Unclean-ish
Brilliant
I really enjoy your video's...
Super cool
God I wish there was a US store like this. Unfortunately the hobby in the states is super overpriced.
I live near Huddersfield I might not have £100 worth of figures but close to so will it be worth the trip?
I drive from Manchester once a month mate, it's class.
Saturday is day with most new stock but sometimes people queue an hour before doors open!.
Also ,trade will take time to work out, especially if bigger lots.worth thi King about if in a rush
I'm like 20 mins away fairly new to the hobby aswell probably be good on a day something is on as not played much games either
@@bhoy1989 deffo go down mate, I've gone at 2pm and still had loads of mint stuff, you can always ask Mark what he's got as well if it's quiet
@@bhoy1989 Mark's a top fella, always helpful. Sometimes there are games happening on a Friday so you could bob in then if you're hoping to see a game in play while you shop.
Wednesday &Thursday are probably the quieter days but still people in and out consistently
Dark Gods
doesnt Games Workshop prevent you from playing with 3d printed minis? I know most average Joes wont mind but I am sure GW wont let you play at all with them...
only matters if he wanted to play at a GW store, or a GW run tournament, otherwise its none of GWs business
Shame so much of the video is out of focus
Dudie dudes, lol
click bait
So it was 19 models (not 10) traded for ~1200pts (not a massive army) with you then adding 50% extra cost in cash and then some 3D printing on top. Mate, this would be good content without the relentless lying clickbait titles on your vids. Toodles.
