Thanks for using MegaPhase RF Orange® test cables! We're very pleased the cables are working well in your setup.

a question? The equipment is calibrated in a 25KHz or 12.5KHz spectrum. What appears on the APX display?

Why is the reference osalator on the xts3000 vs the xts5000 100hz or less the xts3000 is 200hz or less. On 800mhz

Thank you. Sorry about the typo. Only recently I got to use the mic boom arm that you manufacture. It is the best one I have ever used. I can see why so many professional dispatchers have it. I did not know about the other products and first class service of Motorola Radios.
Question, is it possible to sweep a UHF male and UHF female (PL259 SO 239) at or below 30mhz? I believe that at those low frequencies there is in essence zero insertion loss. I did a RUclips video with 30 connectors in a string and could not measure any loss up to 54mhz. I do know that there is lots of loss in the coax. And that most of coax is really poorly manufactured. Apparently there are no standards for the coax that we buy. Thanks, Jim W6LG

      Jim,
The 3920B and tracking gen can certainly sweep that cable at these low freqs. Our set goes from 100KHz up to 2.7 GHz so doing an insertion and return loss test from 1 MHz to 50 MHz would certainly do the trick. If you like, send one of these questionable cables here and I can video the sweep test process and results for the heck of it. Also, I am really very happy to hear that you are enjoying the mic boom arm. We love that product and I personally use on every day for videos and web chats.

You're on! That would be great. I want to impose on you a little more. I want to do maybe 3 cables. If you could sweep them from about 3.5 to 440 mhz, that would be very informative. I met a bunch of hams at coffee and they all are interested in what makes up a good cable. I need to think about what cables for a day or two. Thanks for the offer. I am very happy that you are willing to do that test. Thanks, Jim W6LG in Grass Valley, CA

What is the part number on the APX battery eliminator?

    • @markdanon1376

Hi Paul, the Motorola PN is 66009254001. But, please be cautious with this eliminator. It comes with a banana plug that would go right into a power supply but the eliminator DOES NOT regulate the output voltage supplied to the radio. You will need to make sure that you adjust your supply accordingly. Good luck
