    If you love working with acrylic blanks and UV resin, then you'll love this UV resin badge reel tutorial using Cricut machine. UV resin makes this project so much faster than it would be with epoxy resin, and combining vinyl and glitter on badge reels makes the perfect match! Badge reels are great for gifting to teachers, those who work in an office, or who carry a badge. Badge reels are versatile, and they come in a wide variety of shapes and styles. Check out all the glitter, UV resin, vinyl, badge reel shapes, and other supplies I used linked in the description below.

    I had bought some resin last year and molds, but I was absolutely intimidated by using it. It took me 6 months of watching videos on how to use it before I finally tried it. Now, I absolutely love it. I just followed the videos and it wasn't that hard.

    I have a question…how do you know how to measure the vinyl decals for the acrylic designs to design them in cricut canvas?

    The cow would be even cuter with a little mouth - maybe a little smirk or something to even out the pink area :)

    These are cute but judging by the shapes I think the vinyl for the snout of the cow was supposed to be on the other side/back side of the acrylic.

    Question from true beginner: with the cow for instance, do we purchase a file and then cut that shape out of acrylic sheets with our Cameo or Cricut? Is that how you got the acrylic shape that you put the resin on?

    • @DIYAlex
      @DIYAlex  8 месяцев назад

      I purchased the acrylic shape that was cut by a laser. Cricut machines and Cameos can't cut acrylic this thick unfortunately!

    Alex, can you sublimate them?

    • @DIYAlex
      @DIYAlex  2 года назад

      That is something I haven’t tried! I think it would work best if you could use colored acrylic because I don’t think it would show up well on clear acrylic without a resin/glitter background.

      Those aren’t usually 50 watts so they’re not strong enough for UV resin
