I Witnessed The SOLAR ECLIPSE! - Filmed On LUMIX G7 with TAMRON 70-200mm f/2.8 Lens

Hello everyone, here's a once-in-a-lifetime experience of the solar eclipse. Not really a total solar eclipse in my experience because of the clouds. I filmed this with a Lumix G7 since I didn't have any filter for my Sigma lens. It was a sacrificial camera in case anything happened. Lol. I got scared and did not use my FX30 since the eclipse might mess up the sensor, and I only have the Tamron 70-200mm lens that has an adapter for the G7, but you know what, I should have used the FX30 since a filter is not necessary once the moon starts covering the sun. You'll notice some focusing issues and pardon the shaky footage in some parts of the video. Nonetheless, it was still an amazing experience.

I went yesterday to Bicknell Indiana, the most remote town I could find that was directly under the path of totality. I was running late due to traffic, watching the clouds completely surrounding me, fully aware that the next one isn't for 20 years... and I made it on time and it was clear. It was incredible! The clouds turned out to just be high-level so a bit of an optical illusion from a distance and I had the starting time an hour off for the location. When I saw your video and the clouds my heart sank because I was racing them and the time yesterday and the stress level was INTENSE. Still, awesome footage. Until the next one...

It was my first time witnessing it and it was totally worth it setting up the camera just to get the shot. Because of the clouds, I sometimes miss where the sun's location was.
