Do you have to run that spc installer and window every single time you want to use the ps3 controller? Does the controller need to be connected via usb first and then paired to the bluetooth adapter every single time you want to use the ps3 controller witelessly or does it only need to be paired the first time you install it? Will the controller be auto discovered via bluetooth after the first install.
evadesc SCP is running as a service I think, so you do not have to run a program every time you wish to use the controller. Also once you do the bluetooth pairing thing the first time, you don't have to repeat that step every time. You just turn on your PC and hit the PS button on the controller and it connects as if you were plugin in a wired controller.
SCP replaces Motioninjoy and Better DS3 completely. It works as a service on Windows that automatically mounts your controller once it's detected via USB or Bluetooth which is better than having to launch a program to connect your controller every time. The PS3 controller will act as a Xbox360 controller on your PC, so in theory any PC game that accepts the XB360 controller (or XInput) will work with your PS3 controller using SCP. I also think you can create profiles and change buttons around under the SCP Monitor. Just run the monitor and right click the icon on your notification bar to get the extra options.
I have tried your method multiple times but every time the second bluetooth adapter does not work. The device is visible in the devices and printers but does not act as a bluetooth adapter. P.S. Both bluetooth adapters are the same model and have the same title in the devices and printers page. Can this be the issue?
Probably. I've never tested this using two exact bluetooth adapters. My best bet is that their device name/ID is the same, and Windows just uses one of them at a time.....? I'm not sure, this is only a speculation on my part.
thanks for the video, unfortunately it doesn't work for me this way. As soon as I plug in my second bluetooth dongle which was previously recognized by windows as generic bluetooth radio and which i unplugged to install scp ds3 driver on the second dongle, its driver gets overwritten by scp and it shows as second bth ds3 device in the device manager window. Any ideas as to what went wrong here?
+MrHorst38 Not sure. Maybe you can try uninstalling the SCP drivers completly, and do a quick restart. Plugin in both bluetooth modules and let windows install the generic drivers (or install your device driver). Then try going on Device Manager and Disable one bluetooh.... do the SCP install, then Re-Enable it back again.Try if it works that way. I also noticed that some Windows update rewrites your drivers and messes up the bluetooth that IS running the SCP bluetooth.

I was able to solve my problem by going to properties tab of "the second bth ds3 device" in the device manager and then choosing to update driver and manually selecting the "generic bluetooth radio device" driver and installing it. Should work for anybody who's having the same problem as long as their bluetooth dongle is recognized by windows as bluetooth radio. Thanks for the tip with windows update, will be aware of that.
