Adding pegboard really helped me get organized as well as using the Alex drawers for my vinyl and HTV sheets. An island table is my crafting space also. Love it!
My favorite organizing tip is looking outside the box when picking things to help keep our home organized. Like using an over the door shoe rack (one with mesh "Shelves") in our master closet to store TP, Tissue, and travel supplies. Another in my sewing/craft room for yarn cakes, and another in the walk in fabric closet for knit fabrics. Mine have the option of removing the over the door hook and hanging them on the wall. My struggle, though less now than when I was younger, getting rid of things because "I might use them". And yes, I did very much enjoy this episode. I enjoy all your videos.

I have to improvise some boards for the back, at the end it worked out but I wish I could’ve waited a little longer and I could have a better one like yours!!! You’re awesome! I loved this episode and how you put together the pegboard. I was thinking of your tagline this morning. I got up early to pick up groceries at 7am. I went to the garage, and realized that my husband had unplugged our garage door opener last night for security reasons (not a normal happening). I looked at the cord dangling from the ceiling, thought "You are more powerful than you know", realized that I could go and get a step ladder to get it plugged back in on my own. At that point I went back into the house, woke my husband up, and made him come out and plug it back in. Ridiculous, I know- but in my defense, it would have been really time-consuming to have gotten the ladder to where I would have needed it and in this case saving the time was worth it. Your tag line runs through my head so often, it is crazy, but I love the thought!
If he unplugged it, he should plug it back in! That’s the way I see it.😆 But I’m so glad that my tagline has influenced you for the good! That’s the goal.🤗

I have already built my craft table painted the striping on my wall and built a pegboard. I can’t wait to finish. It’s turning out amazing. So here is kudos to you beautiful lady! Mine is bad bad!! 🤦🏼♀️ I work 3 12’s hr shifts a week..and I watch my 7 mos old granddaughter 2 days a week so it’s been put on the back burner. I’m starting on it this weekend! I need this inspiration 😬

My craft room is a mess. I started on it prior to my diagnosis and have not had the energy to do much. I have two peg boards and shelves to go up so I have the materials. I’m getting better and my energy level is rising but I still get out of breath. Love the craft room!!!!

Looks great! I like the fresh look it gives your space. Another way to do wall organization is with French Cleats... for my workshop I went away from pegboards and now I use French cleats... absolutely love them! I made an entire wall with French cleats (4 rows x 12 feet long ) If you haven't heard about them, search RUclips there's a lot of very inspiring videos... it's very DIY friendly (well, it does require some woodworking skills, but basic skills) it's fun is to make custom organizers for tools, clamps, parts, bits, etc. that hang on the cleats... So not only the holders, but you can hang whole box organizers, shelves, tool charging stations, TV's, etc. As a bonus: it is easy to take the organizer off the cleat and take it to where you are working on a project then when you're done, just hang it back up... While you can kind of do that with a pegboard, it's not as easy.
@@designedtothenines Great... they are so versatile, you can do like me and make an entire wall, or just in a few spots. One caveat, if you plan to hang heavy items on them, make sure they are really secured to studs. I made my cleats about 3.5" wide and used 2 screws at each stud on my wall, (you can fill in the screws or just paint over them) because I plan to hang a lot of tools and as you know they are heavy, especially if you hang a lot of them on the wall... better safe than sorry... My wall has held up for several years without any problems.

I too have a few of the wood banner signs, I am totally going to buy some cork for them. They will make gifts! Thanks for that tip! I do use empty copy paper boxes from work, but I don't know why I never thought of covering them. This has video has definitely been a light bulb moment for me, lol! Great job in your space!!

I am wo5on turning my basement into a studio and these ideas are practical and affordable too. Right now it's a mess down there but with some motivation and DIYs it should serve quite well. I got a couple wine crates and hung them on my craft room wall for storage of small paint bottle

Fabulous ideas! I am definitely making a pegboard or two! I particularly like the standard cardboard boxes done over! Simple, inexpensive and pretty! Thank you NataLee! I am wo5on turning my basement into a studio and these ideas are practical and affordable too. Right now it's a mess down there but with some motivation and DIYs it should serve quite well. In our last house I had a huge studio and miss it. Now I'm creating in a tiny dining room. You're giving me inspiration to get moving on my new spot!😊
