@@RushWheeler I've always assumed it was meant to convey that Omori is a SOMETHING himself. There's some other evidence to suggest as such but it's the kind of theory I don't really have evidence for, I just think it's a cool idea.

Most Something variants have an I ending their name, which is an implication that they were a failed replacement for Mari. Omori was the brand for Mari's piano, meaning he could have been created to represent the things Mari loved and replace her but then eventually became an echo of Sunny. Omori is the only character other than HS Basil who can interact with the entities in Black Space due to their connections with the Somethings. Because Omori shares the colour scheme of white mari, he could also have been used to represent an imprint of Mari. The line of "you can see *something* reflecting off the surface," meaning that Omori can only see himself as Something after the events of Hikkikomori. On top of all of this is the implication of Basil's Something not actually having been Mari, but instead Sunny because of his insecurites. These insecurities might have imprinted on Sunny in a way when Omori was first created.
So either we're onto _something,_ or it's just my midnight brain talking and I'm going insane from OMORI theories.

To be fair it's probably because Merg was quick to take out all the tentacles first. He was really smart using AOE attacks to get them down and then immediately focusing ABBI.

I have quite a lot to say right now: first the abyss is the lowest part in headspace, as such it is the closest to black space, but it's not black space itself.
ABBI used to be the wisest, but since she did something against OMORI's will (I think we all know what) and she was stripped of her wisdom and banished somewhere deep, deep down. Dino's dig is the best place to farm for xp, as the chickens? in the 3rd floor give a lot of xp is you kill them, speaking about it, the chicken that doesn't respawn at the top of dino's dig actually drops an amazing weapon for kel, which gave him double the speed of the basketball, so if it hasn't escaped yet, try to kill it, you will need to be very fast for that.
as for ABBI's items, which are (mostly) the best in the game:
weapons
the red knife isn't even optional, as all omori weapons are just direct upgrades
the baseball bat is aubrey's best weapon
the basket ball is IMO tied with the chicken ball for kel's best weapon
the ol'reliable is hero's best weapon
(I'm not so sure about the accessories but I think these are the main uses):
the cough mask I think is made for OMORI if I remember correctly
aubrey has the pretty bow
I'm pretty sure the headband is made for kel
the chef's hat is, of course, made for hero
damn, that was a mouthful, hope you actually decide to read it, as it could be useful
tenderizer is only the best weapon for hero if you don't use items *and* if he is used as an attacker (which is not very often), as ol' reliable gives the large bonus to healing and juice recovery with items that is invaluable to have on fights like perfectheart. Also, it is possible to reach the speed cap with only basketball so chicken ball falls off in comparison in the lategame.

If you said no to Abbi, you would’ve killed them and got a charm in return. The charm greatly reduces the user’s Heart and Juice (and by “greatly” I mean about 90% of each) but increases all other stats and does Observe’s effect. It’s not worth it so sparing Abbi was the right choice.
Also, If you want to know the Red Knife’s stat boosts to Omori, he gets +13 on attack and +6 on defense, speed and luck. Very small stat boosts but it’s better than the Rusty Knife (+11 atk, +2 def, +6 spd, +4 luck)

abbi is one of the most interesting characters lorewise
She was also the second character to ever to be created for the story, even before Sunny.

@@shikiyama Both actually, Omori himself was the first character that was made before Omori was even planned to be a video game at all in 2012 and after him came Abbi and seemingly just the 2 of them existed alone in Whitespace (At this point I don't believe Whitespace was a dream at all and was just the way Omori saw his room) though they both have been changed quite a bit since they were originally created.
And in terms of Headspace, Humphrey is described as "the Oldest" but Abbi seemed to have interacted with Omori much more than he ever did so she appears much more when Headspace was made but it isn't clear if Humphrey is actually older than Abbi is since we never see or hear of him much from that time.

Okay, actual question for everyone: in the blue Black Space room after ABBI, are Aubrey, Kel, and Hero always all sketchbook-style? Because they had their normal sprites in my playthrough, and I’m very confused now.
They change depending on stuff you do in other Black Space rooms, which Merg already did
So the things that change them into their drawing versions are if you complete the Aubrey school event, give hero the ingredient in the docks area and visit kel in the money space
i think the "blue black space" room is nether before nor after as it enters existence the second omori left black space

Sad Poem is one of the best skills in the Abyss.
You can make Hero Sad and then he can just infinitely restore Juice to himself and Omori.
You can try standing atop the grate in Sweetheart's Castle that's before the KEEPER OF THE CASTLE's room.
P.S. you're now done with Sweetheart's Castle and you can talk to the KEEPER OF THE CASTLE and take ownership of the castle.
He visited the painter in the true route before but I think merg either doesn’t want to witness the likes of rococo again or simply forgot about them…

it never directly tells you the truth, but you'll figure it out. i've talked to like 2 people that played hikikomori first and they eventually figured it out

I’m so happy you did the abyss today because it’s such a cool and interesting place. In my opinion it has to be almost as cool as black space, mostly because it’s fun to look at and I enjoyed the music. I hope you had a really enjoyable time in the abyss
Dang, that fight was super nice to you, ABBI can be so much more difficult, especially if you are a lower level and don't have the phobia skills, but uh . . . you DEFINITELY have to be dumb to uh, do something like that, but ME, I uh, definitely didn't do some thing like that, no siree!

The Abyss is one of the shortest areas, but the transaction it gives between Blackspace and Headspace is so cool! Like you feel the darkness slowly cutting deeper and deeper from The Last Resort to The Deep Well to The Abyss and finally Black Space, this layers of mind kinda feeling it gives is amazing!

No, the character in Beach Area is named "TAKO", a Beta Character. TAKO being ABBI is speculation.

Chef's hat is actually really good on Hero since when he's sad, some damage he takes is converted to juice, so having constant juice regen is actually super helpful and really benefits from Hero being sad
Wait, wouldn't that be working against him? Or are you saying it's a good counter, to still have some heart plus regen the juice you lost?
Because benefit means take advantage of, and usually gain, but this feels more like mitigating losses.
@@michaelcheng9987 I mean that Hero wants to be tanky as a healer so sad is his best emotion since he firstly gets a defence buff and also some of the damage is turned into juice, so yes having the chef's hat to restore juice every turn does mitigate that loss of juice and by extension his heart. Also when he's depressed be basically doesn't die

It seems now though that she has finally forgotten, ever her memories were repressed. However, you seem to at least have spared her from full obliteration.

The people and the youtube algoritm in my place made literally impossible to me to have any kind of knowledge about Omori... but then i met Omori thanks to you, and now it's one of my favourite games of all time and it will be like that for so long!!

Hell yeah, a whole year passed since you introduced me to such a great game already, a lot of things happened this year, some were good, some were bad, and I'm glad to see Omori is still as unsettling as it was on the day we met.

Man, seeing that Baseball Cap really reminds me of Earthbound. In fact, I'm pretty sure it is a reference to Earthbound due to it being "A mystical hat dating back to 199X" as Omori puts it, which is when Earthbound took place, and Ness himself wears one on his sprite.

Abbi is literally at the lowest level of Omori's suppression bc she's the truth and one of the very first things you see in the game is her tentacle poking out into the first layer of Omori's fantasy world. She's been trying to reveal the truth from the start of the game.

I was always waiting for Omori to get a new knife...
He actually gets one pretty much every day.
If you pay attention, you will notice he starts with the SHINY KNIFE, but it changes to the KNIFE, to the DULL KNIFE, and eventually the RUSTY KNIFE.

Actually the baseball bat fits AUBREY. She has one in faraway (although this one has nails on it), she uses a bat in her wind up throw attack, and when she destroys things when tagged, it's with a baseball bat. KEL is only into basketball, AUBREY is the one into baseball (MARI was too before she injured her knee)
