@@zxywanderer Bcos U Will Never B Free was his debut. Apricot Princess was his second. Either way, you're still right. He hasn't topped either of them.
Brad have u listened to Apricot Princess? I think it's by far Rex Orange County's most lively / energetic / exciting/ unique project, but given that he broke out after it came out it doesn't really get the attention it deserves. Would love to see you check it out (and might even come by a reaction stream and pay you to do so ;) )
i'm a big rex fan so i'm definitely biased but i think you should listen to apricot princess, his 2017 album. i genuinely find it to be a fantastic project and i really hope you like it :)
0:15 The Prodigy's "The Fat Of The Land" is an amazing album that you won't regret listening to, and I think its right up your alley, since you love industrial music.
Thank you bradley I was waiting for this reaction since he released the album. I love the album and I think your criticisms were valid and fun to hear. The album just gives off an upbeat feel where things seem to be looking up on a personal level and I think that's why I like the album a lot.
If you're looking for a more interesting album from Rex Orange County, I can't recommend Apricot Princess enough. The first time I listened to it made me feel like I was at some sort of chill improv concert almost, it is a really remarkable project. His singles (especially Sunflower and Best Friend) are also really good. Hopefully, even if it doesn't turn into a video, you give some of these a shot!
Brad you gotta listen to Apricot Princes, considering you liked the songs with more variety and ideias being executed nicely, it's the rex album for you my guy
Really liked the album ! , it feels like a nice breeze on a pleasant day, nothing special, but enjoyable, makes me feel good, just wanna lie down on the grass and look at the clouds kinda vibe
Highly recommend Wachito Rico by Boy Pablo if you like similarr albums like this. Album gives off similar vibe to Rex Orange County but every track has its own unique feel to it.
Eyyy, for once me and Brad agree! Apricot Princess is by far his best album. Who Cares has his best vocals, but Apricot Princess is still far better I think you should check that one out! Pony was still pretty disappointing though outside of 10/10 & Pluto Projector
Hope that you do a reaction to Apricot Princess which is Rex Orange County's best album in my opinion. Much more variety in sounds and subject matter, while still having some great singing and production. Definitely his most unique one too.
Pretty decent pop album. I loved the orchestral production, but I wish there was a bit more variety in the songs. Overall, I enjoyed it. BCNR still better though
His other albums, particularly Pony and especially Apricot Princess, are still better and I highly recommend them but Who Cares is still decently solid and I enjoyed it
pony is not superior to who cares?, to me it's way to polished and he tried to hard to make it sound that certain way, who cares? is much more laid back and relaxed i enjoyed it way more
Song number 6. If You Want It, reminds me of Skin on Skin by Franc Moody, the melody feels a lot of inspiration in this song altogether. Listen later to see if I'm just confusing it or if it really exists.
This is a good pop album, uplifting, rather light in weight, but it goes for it, i like it, probably not his deepest work but there’s a couple of bangers that make you feel good imo -Keep it up -Amazing -One in a million -Open a window
If you don't know what to react to, give a listen to the Decembrists. They made amazing folk-rock albums in the 2000s where every song tells a rich story of it's own. Don't want to spoil too much but I would just recommending paying attention to the lyrics(with genius) . Their best albums are probably Picaresque or The Crane Wife
People shit on his album “Pony” way to much. I happen to to think it’s his best work to date. Better than apricot princess. But to each their own of course
Everyone saying apricot princess but I really liked pony personally. Such a good album with almost all hearts. This album was good, but a bit too similar so I got bored
not to parrot everyone else in the comments, but you really should check out apricot princess. it’s a little bit more lo-if sounding, but overall i think it’s much more ambitious than pony or who cares
Brad you should listen to Tame impala inner speaker. Might as well finish the discography and it’s better than lonerism and maybe better than slow rush imo.
Could you please review the album Deadbeat Graffiti by Black Pistol Fire. I know the name might be a little edgy, but I swear are there some smiley balls in there. I would describe it as alt rock if you like that sort of shit; I don't expect a video, but just give it a shot.
sweet and fine album all around, however, I’ve not seen anyone love this album. nor have I seen anyone hate it. it’s literally the dictionary definition of good but not great lmao
Shoutout Jeremy
Thank you!
pls react to an ep "zephyr" by niki zefanya
"Apricot Princess" is his best album in my opinion. There's a lot more variety with that one.
AGREED, I love Apricot Princess so much
same here, one of my favourites oat
You’re not wrong, I agree
you know an artist is good when they can't top their debut

Apricot Princess definitely has more variety, while still incorporating some of the orchestral production that this album really expanded on.
@@gprada I haven't checked out Apricot Princess, but I've heard good things about it. Probably going to give it a listen soon.
His other albums, particularly Pony and especially Apricot Princess, are still better and I highly recommend them but Who Cares is still decently solid and I enjoyed it
I think this is way better than pony it just doesn’t have the peaks of Pluto projector. But apricot princess is probably my fav album still
i feel like apricot princess is still his top, but this is definitely better than pony
pony is not superior to who cares?, to me it's way to polished and he tried to hard to make it sound that certain way, who cares? is much more laid back and relaxed i enjoyed it way more
Exactly I was suggesting those two albums since last year. I hope he reacts to the other albums
