The VA is absolutely useless here in Tallahassee Florida for neuropathy treatment the podiatrist is also totally useless in this area I have to make the gesture first hand to see if he would take it and run with it much less understand I was able to get him to order a treatment electronic device I put my feet on for half hour a day that I had heard about which was supposed to be so wonderful but turned out to be useless in my case so I turned it back to the VA the only people so far who have been able to help me or the people at the pain center giving me pain med only problem is it doesn't last long enough and now our stupid government stepping in saying enough with the pain meds I wish these bastards had my pain politicians don't understand crap nor do the media news channels that started all this crap which started with the VA and the misuse as a claim of the pain meds for the wounded gi's wish these bastards were wounded themselves so they would know what it feels like and nursing school I was taught that if the doctor fix your pain then they are obligated to treat you with tertiary which means stop the pain regardless of the type of drug seems like the only Humane thing to do
I have Suprascapular nerve impingements. My muscles are 100% atrophied in my dominant arm & about 85% in the other. I need nerve transplants but there is Only two surgeons in the world that I’ve ever done them before. As well as, it takes 12-18 months after u get the transplant just to find out if it was successful & it takes a 3 years of extensive therapy for you to start getting better and for your muscles to start growing back. It took about 80 Drs & surgeons & 21 yrs to finally get diagnosed properly & then another 3 & 1/2 yrs to see an additional top 13 surgeons. I’ve seen many top surgeons including Mayo Clinic & a review from the # 1 ortho surgeon in the world just to find out they have never done a nerve transplant & thus were unable to help me. I recently got 9 Sanexas machine treatments & it just made my pain so much worse. I would rather get rotator cuff surgery again then get another one of those treatments. I now am doing 5 beam laser treatments & have got just 2 treatments so far but it is again making my pain & all my reg symptoms so much worse. Any ideas or advice or help would be much appreciated! I've been listening to many videos on neuropathy and I think they are informative however not one talks about this( motor and sensory neuropathy ) which i have which is hereditary it also is known by several names hmsn1, as above or the original name known as cmt (charcot-mary-tooth) due to the three founders. Anyway they all talk about curing it? My point is they all list the top reasons for neoropathy but not one mentions CMT ???? . Which seems to be more common than what I was 1st told when I was diagnosed. I've found it to be like when u don't notice something untill u want 1 and all of a sudden they seem to be everywhere ish, u know what I mean I'm sure! So I guess my main point is why's nobody discussing CmT? And to my mounting knowledge there is no current cure as it is degenerative disease and has to do with a faulty gene.
My mother in law has not and cannot walk since March. No cure! No help! All the drugs in the world do zero for the pain it's excruciating. Doctors can't help it's so hopeless at this point! We live in Michigan. And we are watching her deteriorate daily it's awful.
It's painful to watch Dr. DiDuro talk. I've spoken to him on the phone and he is strange- answered questions with questions- evasive. As a chiropractor these are the docs that pain me about the profession. Why post this? It won't do me any good. I know the laser has some great efficacy for many patients. I've done dozens of red light treatments my chiropractor covers it. Still having issues my chiro doesn't promise a cure.
