Hi Vlad. What a beautiful city Palmyra must have been.....awe inspiring. Amazing columns and gorgeous statues. Love the vintage photos. Too bad war has taken a toll on this wonderful ancient city. We may have nothing left to remind us of Palmyra in a few years. THANKS for sharing the memories of this place.
It is great to see so many images of Palmyra especially the early ones. With so many different phases of construction it is hard to get a sense of who built what but the differing styles and quality and techniques of construction are indicative of an area that has undergone many changes of fortune. Perhaps the big question mark is about the use of iron ties in some of the construction ? Great images Vlad - it is a pity the destruction of the site and archaeology has continued to the present day.
((Great images Vlad )) - Thanks ((It is great to see so many images of Palmyra especially the early ones.)) - yes , now there many was desroyed in battles (last 4 years)
Pryvit 😁 great video thank you I enjoyed watching it very much. I love your work because no one really is doing what you are and I like that. Great job, fantastic work.
I very much enjoyed seeing the old photographs of the Ancient city of Palmyra. I think it would have been helpful if there had been captions on the photos to identify the specific buildings and artifacts shown in the screen , rather than just showing the lovely photos in a random manner. I do have one criticism about the music selection, something with a more Middle Eastern flavour would have gone better with the glorious photos than just some generic acoustical guitar music. Do keep up the good work in sharing these photographs of these beautiful structures from lost early Civilizations.
((I very much enjoyed seeing the old photographs of the Ancient city of Palmyra.)) - Yes , they very interest. (( Do keep up the good work in sharing these photographs of these beautiful structures from lost early Civilizations.)) - Thanks
3:45 One-piece granite columns, very hard to make... 4:18 Good example of old columns being reused as parts of a wall (in the background) Amazing place, I hope they keep it safe from terrorists.
((3:45 One-piece granite columns, very hard to make...))) - the same columns in Baalbek too, and in Egypt ((4:18 Good example of old columns being reused as parts of a wall (in the background))) - yes , they from limestone, local people used part of them as big bricks ((Amazing place)) -yes , but after battles there many destroyed now
Vlad with all respect for what you do. Is it not time to show what is in our Slavic lands? Show what artifacts we have. And from my own backyard. Near my house is a seaside cliff. Sometimes, after a storm, part of this cliff falls out. Then you can find cones among the sand. They are about 12,000 years old, but exposed to oxygen, they open like those who have just dropped from the trees. Such still living remains of a great flood. Greetings.
I would love to see drawings of what the buildings would have looked like when new. The ancient peoples did beautiful designs, if only we knew the tools they used.

Palmyra is 4500 years old city (minimum) , but peoples lived there 7500 years ago
Anyone think that two thousand years into the future people will look at the ruins of Detroit as we look at Palmyra? (sarcasm)
maybe our descendants
... the city of Baal
Just like baalbek
there was 3-4 Baal
1) Baal Amon =Marduk
2) Baal Hadad = Adad
3) Baal -Osiris (Son of Marduk)
4) in name of Baal called Enki (DA-EA-BAAL), EA-name of ENKI, word Baal - mean god
in Sanskrit Bala (it is a long spoken a > Baala) is related to "divine child" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bala_Krishna
