    Tha gu math! Tha gu gasta! Daimh was recently in Denver, CO performing to a sold out crowd. They were fantastic! Griogair was not with them. He recently performed a song, Moch sa Mhadainn Is Mi Dusgadh, for an Outlander episode. He has such a beautiful voice. I enjoy his music very much. I have visited Ballachulish and it is beautiful! Tha mi ag ionnseachaidh gaidhlig. Will take a little time, but the language is very poetic & simpler than French, German or Spanish. Worth the time and effort to anyone interested. :) X

      Griogair's Moch sa Mhadainn Is Mi Dusgadh is unbelievable! His voice just makes it and I can't stop listening to it! Quite a wonderful introduction to Gaelic!

    please give us the lyrics. i am learning gaelic and this helps a lot . and the music is so beautiful. brings tears in my eyes. so glad to see young people speaking the language, and I am not even from Britain. but as a Swiss I have Celtic blood ( remember we are HELVETII who were massacred by Caesar's legions at the beginning of his conquest of GAUL in 54 BC. our language was wiped out. but many of us still have CELTIC blood, especially those of the french-speaking part of the country and also the Romansh -speaking ones who are from the Rheatian nation. The blood always speaks.

    Don’t understand a word, but it sounds like longing for something that’s been lost. Don’t always have to interpret something to get the feeling of it. Speaks to an aching Scottish heart given to me by some ancient ancestor from the McGregor clan.

      I loved ballachulish the short time I lived there.I worked in the loch Leven hotel.Iate 1960's. Bremners were my boss. my boss asked me to take a damaged tractor wheel. take it over to the garage at ballachulish hotel to fix the wheel.I jocked how am l going to manage thatch says roll it onto the ferry and collect when finished.the wheel was at least 3feet taller than me.I can't understand how I managed.I felt like Charlie chaplin.Loved the place.oh well thought would let someone know my experience.have a nice day.

    I have nothing to do with Scotland, Ireland or any kind of gaelic culture, but I am so much attracted by everything that has to do with it. When I hear celtic music or see a picture of this unfriendly, rainy and stormy landscape something in me awakes I cant explain. I don´t really believe in rebirth but there must be a hidden connection. As I read, celtic culture was widely spread a few centuries ago in whole Europe, so maybe I still have some genes in me from this times.

    Amhrán den scoth, banna den scoth, guth draíochtach ag an bpríomhamhránaí. Grá, meas agus beannachtaí ó Dhún Dealgan in Éirinn. Grma as an bpíosa beag faoisimh.x
    O 's truagh nach robh mis' ann an gleannan mo ghaoil,
    Oir tha beannachadh Dhè agus sìth ann';
    Tha na h-aibhnean 's na coilltean as bòidhch' air an t-saoghal
    Ann an gleannan mo ghaoil taobh Loch Lìobhann.
    Fàile cùbhraidh an fhraoich tighinn thar mullach nam beann,
    Agus chì thu 'n damh ruadh air an fhrìth ann;
    'S ged shiùbhladh tu Alba chan fhaic thu aon ghleann
    Tha cho bòidheach ri m' ghleann taobh Loch Lìobhann.
    Air an achadh bheag uaine chaidh lomadh le fàl
    Bidh na gillean le 'n camain a' strì ann;
    'S chan eil buidheann an siorramachd mhór Earra Ghàidheal
    Tha cho clis ris na suinn taobh Loch Lìobhainn.
    Tha daoine cho coibhneil 's cho càirdeil 's a' ghleann,
    'S chan eil aobhar bhith dubhach no sgìth ann;
    Ach cho fhad 's a bhios Gàidhlig 'ga sgrìobhadh le peann
    Bidh mi moladh mo ghleann taobh Loch Lìobhainn

    My great-grandmother spoke better English than most white people but Cherokee only in her home - refusing to pay us any attention unless we spoke to her in our language. As she put it, if you don't speak your native language then you don't know who you are and are cut off from your ancestors.
