i’m taking a solo trip in april! EVERYONE deserves a moment to themselves no matter what. the older i get the more i learn that my own company is my favorite. your girls will learn that they can be independent and still have a wonderful time by watching you do the same 🥰
Last fall I went to Disney with my 39 year old daughter to Disney for a week. Three of those days I got to do the park by myself. I’ve never not gone to Disney before without planning for the whole family. I had so much fun. It thought me so much about myself and what I was capable of. I know that sounds crazy but I had never taken out time for just me. And hasn’t ever been anywhere by “myself”. I walked around the parks and just enjoyed people watching. Slowing down and seeing the details that I have always missed while rushing to rides with the family. I didn’t have to answer to anyone and I could stop and go as I pleased. It was so freeing! And family and friends who saw my pictures later said I looked so happy (we have had a tough few years with medical issues with my husband). The caregiver in me needed this. I will admit that I missed my family by the end of the week but I’m already planning for when I can do it again. Now if my babies were still young it might have been harder . 🥴
I just came back from my first Disney World solo trip. I dived in deep water with a 14 night stay. But it was awesome! It was great to just think about only me for one time
I do at least one solo trip a year. Never had children, so no grandchildren, but have gone with different nieces over the years. I love taking a leisurely pace and doing what I want to do! Go and enjoy your time alone!
I loved my solo trip when I did it! Definitely can’t do it as cheap coming from Canada but it actually wasn’t too bad! I prefer Lyft to Uber, and I used Mears for airport transportation. Thanks for sharing!
💲💲💲I was so happy to see this to explain the IG stories! I watched them last week and thought....where are the kids?? Is Ashley by herself at Disney??!! Hope you had an awesome time! Looking forward to seeing the vlogs. My girls and I are going the beginning of April for Spring Break! 🦋
Love the video, as always!! So glad that you were able to have some time to reset!! Can’t wait to see the vlogs. Now, you and Bekah need to do a mom’s only trip!! 💵💵
Idk myself much anymore either. 2 kids, 1 and 3. People tell me to take a break lol and do what I want to do but idk what that is anymore. Thank you for being honest I don’t feel so alone in this now.
I love solo trips, but I get what you mean by planning for yourself. I'm not a mom, but Disney is a thing that my sister, niece and I usually do together and I am the planner. It is really hard to plan for yourself. I've been on multiple solo trips and I still struggle with deciding what to do and I change my mind and hotels multiple times. My last 4 trips have been solo trips, and getting ready to go on another on March 1. I have yet to really think about what I am going to even do. 💰
When you are so used to focusing on others it’s a real adjustment to figure out what you really want to do. Hope you have a wonderful trip in March though!! 🫶🏼
Ashley, I was at Magic Kingdom that day too. I’m always looking around for the RUclipsrs I follow. I wish I had seen you to say Hi! I love your videos. My kids are all grown up now but we do make an annual trip with the grandchildren so I love to see what Lucy and Bella like to do in the parks! Glad you enjoyed yourself and congrats on 20K!
Glad to see you enjoyed it! I’m planning on doing a girls trip this fall and may go a few extra nights by myself! Momma needs a break sometimes! But I know the weird feeling…my first trip without my son, I felt lost all day because I didn’t have to juggle a million things and answer a million questions 😮
Not Disney related, but In September I went on a Texas trip all by myself. I did a couple concerts and an axe throwing contest and met up with friends for a day. I was gone for 3 days and it was so fun. When I wasn’t at the concerts/ contest. I was sleeping and watching tv and just relaxing. Could I have done more? Yes, but it was definitely just dipping my feet into solo trips. My 3 kiddos stayed home with my husband. It really is hard as a mom to think of what you want to do!!
Yes for the solo trip. 2 of my friends and I did a girls trip last fall with no kids. It was so weird but fun. We stayed 2 nights at Poly (dvc points) and did Disney Springs, Epcot, a monorail crawl and rode to skyliner to AOA from HS and walked around for photos. It was wonderful!!! Hope your trip was great, can't wait to see what you decided to do!💰
I totally get the feeling of not knowing what to do on a solo trip! Although I’m not doing a solo trip..me and my husband are going for 1 night on our way back from one of his work trips in May. I have literally forgotten what Disney is like without kids. Guilt is already setting in and it’s February…😂 but we are also so so excited! I’m so glad you got to do this trip you deserved it! Money 💵
When I was single I went to Disney by myself loads, but now that I have a family I can’t imagine going by myself! I’m glad you got to go do something for yourself though! That’s so important as a mom. Do you use incognito when looking at flights? I’ve heard that the pricing goes up if you look at things multiple times, but that incognito can fix it. Don’t know if it’s totally true but I thought I would pass it on in case! Also I love hearing that Dean learned to love Disney because it definitely looks like he loves it as much as you, and my husband is not a Disney person yet but maybe there’s hope! 😂
I was at French Quarter the same night as you. Did not love it as much but that was my fault because I spent the first two nights of my trip at Riviera. Lol. Also had really bad luck with buses. Just reinforced why I usually chose Skyliner resorts. Glad you enjoyed your first solo trip. It is the only kind I take and I love them so much.
Next time don’t stress about what you’ll do so much!! Just enjoy it and be in the moment! Everything doesn’t have to be planned out when you’re solo! Biggest part of it is just being on the fly, because you can be!
Honestly the day I just went with the flow I hated but the day I had planned out was the best day ever! I thought I would love being on the fly but it just ended up not working for me personally.
I would’ve had such a hard time but I need to Do this there or somewhere! I’m the same I have no hobbies or I gotta find me! Totally understand and you shouldn’t ever feel guilty! So cool!
💰 thanks for sharing the budget info that’s really helpful, I’ve only been to Disney 2x and both with large family groups I can’t wait to be able to do a trip with just hubby and I, and now I feel like a solo trip might be fun too
I would do absolutely anything I felt like in the moment which probably means walking around semi aimlessly and parking my butt on a beach 😂 there’s no way I’d have fun doing that for more than 48 hours especially at Disney. I feel like two days is the sweet spot.
I'm wondering what your experiences have been with low cost carriers measuring your personal bag at BNA. I've got Spirit and Allegiant flights booked for this year. I've flown Frontier once and they measured every single personal bag. How often do Spirit or Allegiant ask to measure yours?
When I seen your photo on instagram the other day, I knew you were going to Disney. It looks like you had a fabulous time. Uber’s are not my favorite either. We have bought two of those chargers. They are great. 💶💶💶
Please explain how you find cheap rooms. We are going first week of May and the cheapest I could find at all star was $221 and we are getting annual passes in May will there be better discount after we get passes?
You can use your passholder discount for discounted room prices. But it seems like you are getting your pass in May and going in May too, so that won’t help you for this trip. Try to get your annual passes before your trip in May.
@@alexisbk9576 okay. Will see if I can get a weekend away to make it over. Do you happen to know what % you get off for AP. Trying to see if it’s worth me going to a weekend trip.
Random question- does your portable charger set off the alarm for Disney security? We have a larger one that triggers it and looking for a different option. Love this trip for you on your own agenda!! As moms we always put our little ones first. We also enjoy spirit, haven’t had any significant issues with them and budget friendly- we joined their savers club which helps too. 💰💰
No it doesn't! We had a larger one that did as well so was very excited about this. Thank you! Yes, we joined that too! I just want to hit gold status so I don't have to pay for bags lol.
I would love for you to do an annual pass comparison. I want to get one and we don’t live local but want to justify it before I bring it up to my husband 😊. Glad you were able to enjoy some alone time. I’ve been on a couple girls trips and they are so much fun. I don’t like Uber/lyft either. I’ve had a couple bad experiences. I will either rent a car or take a service from the airport. Never again will I get in a ride share service. 💲💲🤑💰💸💵
Ok I will have to do that once we renew our passes in April. Gotta have all of the numbers so you've got a good argument for it. Glad I'm not the only one that's not an Uber/Lyft fan.
Go do some things you can’t do when you have the little girls with you. Maybe a nice dinner in Canada go on some rides you can’t do with them there I think once you are there you will see what You want to do enjoy yourself Ashley 👍
Personally, I could never ever leave my family and go anywhere. I would have so much guilt spending money I could use for groceries, not to mention leaving my autistic son behind😢
I have a hard time believing Dean just tolerates Disney 😂
I have learned to love it 😅 also it’s too fun with these girls!

It would be so fun to see a best and worst stroller accessories t video and a best and worst princess dress video! 💰

I have a few must do’s because I, like you, put everyone else first. My trip will be 4days, 2parks with Disney Springs and the outlet❤
Would love to see a video on the idea you mentioned! How many days you used the pass vs how much it is annual and breaking it down
Im so jealous of your ability to get cheap flights!!! Not available in our area!
I almost commented this same thing. I fly from indianapolis and our flights are not this cheap!!
I loved my solo trip when I did it! Definitely can’t do it as cheap coming from Canada but it actually wasn’t too bad! I prefer Lyft to Uber, and I used Mears for airport transportation. Thanks for sharing!

I love the beautiful videos you provide, love the eye candy and sweet personality 😊

Thinking about going solo myself so this was so helpful. Thank you for your honest heart 💜

I've done 2 lots of 2 week trips solo. Absolutely the best thing I've ever done for myself. It was outstanding 😁😁

💰💰amazing video!! Loved it!
I bought those little cameras for my kids from your recommendation and let them have them a little before Disney omg girl they love them! Thank you
I would love to see your like “break even” on the AP. I want one so bad but we just can’t justify it yet
I'm so curious to see the real life numbers after having it for a year so will definitely put that in a video.
I would’ve had such a hard time but I need to
Do this there or somewhere! I’m the same I have no hobbies or I gotta find me! Totally understand and you shouldn’t ever feel guilty! So cool!
I’d love to resort hop-pop in the resort shops etc if I were on a solo trip!
POFQ king corner rooms are the absolute best rooms! Of course my opinion may change after my Grand Floridian stay next week.
What about your airport transportation?
💰 thanks for sharing the budget info that’s really helpful, I’ve only been to Disney 2x and both with large family groups I can’t wait to be able to do a trip with just hubby and I, and now I feel like a solo trip might be fun too
ohh that’s going to be fun to watch! I was thinking you and bekah should do a solo moms trip together!
Did you have a friend pick you up and drop you to airport in Orlando? Very curious how you got to and from the airport without any cost??
Bought the Amazon Mama zipper pouch you showed and love it!
29:21 totally get the thing about not liking Uber, especially when solo traveling as a woman. Just not ideal!
Put wipes in a ziploc or storage bag
Always LOVE hearing the girls in the background! 💜
Is there a particular app or website that you use to book your flights? You get such cheap flights!!!
I would do absolutely anything I felt like in the moment which probably means walking around semi aimlessly and parking my butt on a beach 😂 there’s no way I’d have fun doing that for more than 48 hours especially at Disney. I feel like two days is the sweet spot.

I believe they did this not too long ago! :)
They have a few times recently
Wow, you almost stayed under budget if you’d have kept All Star. Nice job.💰
Love this!! Thanks so much for sharing!! Love going to Disney solo 💸💸💸
