I have a 2015 328d wagon with everything on it but HK stereo (damn!) and I truly think this is the best car I've ever owned. I live in Colorado and regularly see mileage in the high 30's / low 40's. I did have all the trouble with the EGR system and the giubo plate (connects transfer case to drive train) but it was all covered at > 50K miles by BMW/NA. Only thing I've done to it is replace the battery and the alternator. The car is awesome, quiet, pulls like a train and I think it's one of the best-looking wagons on the road.
I'm currently driving a lightly modified 2010 Lexus IS250, 71k miles. Looking at a 328d wagon. I drove an 06 4.4i X5 prior to the Lexus so I am aware of the bmw v8 lack of reliabilty. I can justify getting the 328d IF it is slightly more reliable than the X5. Hmm might buy, love your car
Thanks for the video. I've been researching wagons for this exact purpose (Denver/Mountain driving) and recently have been more interested in diesels. Can you point to any articles/guides for a first time diesel owner?
Hey @TheFadShow do you remember what brand of tires you were using for this trip? Did a trip to Vermont this year and spun out a couple times in the 2018 model. Was wondering if you had a good all season or snow tire recommendation.
I have the same model, it is about 2.5 gallons of Urea per 6000 miles. That is about 10 USD in Costco for a tank, not a lot actually on the highway. It is more in the city.

Nice video good information DOPE car :D
If you don't mind me asking how much did that repair cost you? So it's not a very reliable car overall?
The Music.... I HAD to mute the sound.

They are a great car but I would be prepared for some mild reliability issues. If emissions system goes it can be quite expensive.

This video convinced me to get a touring. 👏

Bridgestone Blizzacks
I have a ‘14 328d sedan RWD. Drive 70 city 30 hwy and get 43.2 mpg. Did you have xdrive active the entire time during this road trip?
Damn man. Sorry that it happened to you. Glad it didnt catch fire on you!
The all too common dreaded EGR failure. That's too bad. Sorry to hear. How many miles on the car?
What size are tires ? I see big sidewalls to save from potholes.
What year model and how many miles do you have?
Have you had any other unscheduled maintenance items come up?
2014 328d it has 63,000 miles currently I haven’t had any other issues with it so far.
@@thefadshow Awesome! Thanks for the reply. I just purchased one for the wife. Picking it up tomorrow.
What year is your car and any plans to delete and tune it?
Did the altitude have any effect on the engine? Or the fuel economy
What's your average highway mpg in the city?
42.5 mpg highway under normal conditions.
TheFadShow what is your driving style like?
How much UREA did you use?

@@QiuyuanChenRyan916 thanks 👍
Or because you kept driving and ignoring the CEL clogged up everything not the EGR 😂
more then likely
