Out of Cameras of few keen amateur railway photographers in 1950's and 1960's o steam locomotive operation on British Railways, came some fascinating cine footage recording the end of an era. This series of videos is aimed at uncovering some of those unique movie shots taken during this period.
Volume one features steam workings at Clapham Junction. Former G.W.R. "Kings" and "Castles" The Great Central Line, Birmingham's two main line stations. Stainer Pacifics on the West Coast Main Line, B.R "Standards", Plus many more.

2:22 I've been there and that jinty was steaming next to Birmingham airport ✈️
The soundtrack starting at 0:38 is wicked, TR808 music at its best.
Thanks for the video totally enjoyed this array of steam locomotives from the 60s. I was born in 1966 and missed all the steam on British Rail such a shame!!😎🚂🚃🚃🇬🇧
One of the greatest free shows on Earth-watching trains.
Wow, thankfully Pendennis Castle is now back at Didcot awaiting overhaul
Ivatt 41312 was featured in the ITV Meridian 2000s series 'Southern Steam' when she was returned to steam.
The Great day's of steam 👍
I'm happy to say I experienced Thursdays in the 50s and 60s
51:13 - That's not a Class 2, it's a Class 3. (The Class 2s were numbered in the 84XXX series)
can these old films be digitally remastered and pictures sharpened up a bit?
Maybe this was one of the inspirations for Thomas and Friends?
Hey. Can I please use some of your footage in my films? I will credit you for it.
Yes you can. You could also download them from archive.org as well.

Who did the appalling spelling on screen to accompany the voice over?
The focus is so dreadful that I could noy watch the video.
Hello
Classic VHS Museum, how you doing? I think you've got an amazing collection of children
VHS tapes.
I was wondering if you would be interested in purchasing some children's VHS tapes I've got quite a lot and I'm desperately short on space in my house .
I haven't worked since February and I'm not on any sort of furlough scheme so I do need to raise some money for my finances.
I can take photographs for you if you'd like to have a look at what I have got?
Best Andrew
