And believe me, this is really loud! If you're cruising around town, evryone watches... The pops are naturally that loud! So no mapping😅 really best sounding car ever! Really want to buy a GTS for hearing that straight piped in real life haha
I had the same engine... It does drone but there's no drone when cruising or at the highway... Sometimes when I accelerated in a high gear and slow speed there was drone but it was not annoying... 90% of the passengers didn't even hear when I said "do you hear that sound" my 992 straight pipe has way more drone :/ on my Cayman in comparison zero drone!
@@carthusiasts3353 that’s good to know! My biggest concern is that there would be a very loud drone at 65-70mph on the highway. If it’s fine with cruising speeds I think I’m going to do it!
@@tgemz3376 yeah I had a six speed manual so 127km/h was at 3500RPM... And absolute no drone! And do it, the pops and bangs it makes with sport is just insane! Cold Starts are VERY loud so maybe take one with valves for the neighbours (or your family when you start it in the garage)
@@kilowattindustries6590 thanks for letting me know. I never went straight pipes - I just created a little exhaust leak - like a couple cm wide in my exhaust and it’s made the car about 30% louder and with no drone. Perfect hack for me.
it's just weird to me people saying "straight pipe" on NOT straight piped cars. Straight pipe is no muffler no resonator no cats. And I know how loud these cars are. I have had fully "real" straight piped 991.1 Base and GTS model @@carthusiasts3353

It's amazing to drive it, have it now a year and I've never had any problems with the police. It's a valved system too, so it's often closed ( little louder than stock).
I love the 981s . Excellent choice man. The exhaust sounds great by the way
Car is already gone but thanks, it sure was!🚀
Incredible sound!!!
😎🚀🚀
lol i saw a instagram video is this kinda car on a freeway and it was soooo loud and i looked up the car on youtube to see if it’s that loud😂
Same lol
Just saw the same vid on tik tok and searched it up too😂
@@baileyhutchings471 yeah same 😂
And this is just the 2.7L! The one on tiktok is a GTS, 3.4L... so it's wayyyy louder than mine😅

Thinking of doing muffler delete to my 981 2.7. Does it drone in the 2-3k rpm range?

@@tgemz3376 i have a 2.7 981 cayman with muffler delete and the drone is extremely loud. Debating taking mine off.

how much did it cost for a custom valve exhaust?
€800 without valves but I had valves so €1500.
It doesn't say in the description which exhaust system it is, which is it?
Hello, it does bro, but it's a custom build catback delete with valves made by someone in Belgium Bollaerts custom works. Sounds amazing in real life!
sounds amazing 👍😍
Thanks!
Is this just muffler delete or true straight pipe including catless headers?
Just catback delete, so stock headers and cats. So from the cats straight (when the valve is open). It's more than loud enough, believe me.

Is this 6 cyl or 4 cyl? How many cc?
2.7L 6cyl :)
we can see mufflers at the beginning. so it's not a straight line. maybe just a cat back
It's a valved system, valves open is straight pipe and valves closed the flow goes through a muffler. And it's indeed a catback so stock cats/headers.
Is this still daily driveable without getting annoying? police? tuv?

@@carthusiasts3353 Thanks alot for the answer
@@Ersy90 np man! Anytime
Straight pipes? I can see the muffler
Someone already said this. It's a catback with valves, so valves shut, it goes through a muffler... Valves open it's straight, no muffler.
