Many of these parts are easier to replace than refinish. I replaced all my reflectors, signals, buckets, fuel bezel with all OEM replacements (interlog, no Chinese truck lite garbage) for very little money. Same with the hood straps and bumpers. It’s just way too nice of a truck to be taking shortcuts.

I think is better to remove the lights is easy
If I were doing it again I would. Everything on the HMMWV is bolted on the other side though so near impossible to do without help.
What are the rules where you live about driving and licensing these for road use
varies state to state. This one had normal title and on road normal registration and insurance.
