  • The Griffin Armament Bushwhacker 36 is a smaller version of their universal Bushwhacker 46. It has all the strengths of its bigger brother but in a smaller package. While it can't do the 45 caliber projectiles, it is able to suppress everything else more efficiently. Able to silence everything from 22LR to 9mm and more, most other rifle suppressors can't even quiet down a fraction of the calibers the Bushwhacker can.
The larger bore diameter not only allows the Bushwhacker to be versatile, but it also provides a lower backpressure environment. This translates to less blowback, and less ejection port noise when used on semi-automatic rifles. The mount shares the same thread pitch as some other suppressors and is compatible with any Bravo-style mounting system.
    CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION
The Griffin Bushwhacker 36 is one of the most versatile cans on the market. It solves quite a few issues that plague many competing multicaliber offerings. It can be disassembled, allowing for use with cast lead projectiles and 22LR. Very few centerfire rifle silencers have this feature. It can handle 9mm in addition to common rifle calibers, allowing it to be used on both pistols and subguns. Another overlooked caliber choice would be 38 Special, which suppresses extremely well out of a lever gun. Being compatible with "Bravo" or "Omega" style mounts also means you can use the Bushwhacker 36 with Griffin's mounting systems, or your favorite 3rd party offering.

If you swap out for a 22 cal end cap, you get a slightly better reduction on 223/5.56.

The freaking ATF is taking so long I got my "new" Bushwhacker 36 near 7months but still at shop as waiting on another can which was sent in at the same time also got a form 1 SBR as well 8 months in I swear by the time you get your item a replacement is released.
Own 2 dozen SBR's, 20+ cans and 5 select fire guns and 2 auto sear packs over 25yrs of gun collecting and this BS NFA wait time is getting longer or longer.

I like Griffin's products including the Bushwacker 36. Having said that, given a choice between this and the Omega 36, I'd lean toward the Omega. It has everything the Bushwacker has, with the addition of 2 different length configurations. For those with Griffin Plan A Taper mount Muzzle Devices, Griffin makes an adapter for the Omega 36.

The omega isn’t user serviceable like this one is so it wouldn’t be advices to run any .22lr through it.

Sucks they don’t make an adapter to run it on a Surefire comp.
