I just squished the warm tire about ten times at different angles until it seemed more pliable. It just stretched onto the rim, then used a butter knife to adjust the other side to pop out more.
That’s a good thought. I have another video where I do use the holes except I have had a few people ask how to put a tire on if it had no holes. Some tires are solid all the way through. So this video will work for tires with or without holes. Plus, this video is good if you want to avoid tearing through the holes on accident.
this is definitely different. seems easier just to boil tires, lubricate rim and inside of tire. little muscle and voila... lml, i think i speak for all mechanics when i say nobody like removing or putting on solid tyres. great tutorial. /Bklyn👑
This goddamn he is a smart dude this is the first person I ever seen do it this way that is a clever cookie that means the tire won't jiggle around so you easily torque down the tire evenly You screw down screw down screw down screw down You do it in star pattern and then you put your tire irons in where it's oh wow that's clever
Mine came with solid rubber tires (HiBoy S2 Pro) and they are rock hard with hardly any flex at all. I'd like to replace them with honeycomb tires but they look like a pain to remove 😩.
@@NoiseBooze I just prefer the honeycomb tires. Rides softer than rock hard solid rubber tires. I think HiBoy updated the latest S2 Pro to honeycomb tires. I might just get those instead.
I note you said "careful not to damage the tire" around the 4:10 mark. I also note that it looks like the tire is ripped right as you said that. Did the stretching of the tire following your method here cause the tire to rip?
You have a good eye. That tear was actually caused by a different and previous method I tried that failed that I did not publish. The tear in this video was not caused by this method. This method is more gentle.
@@JedsGarage Thanks for the input. By this week I'll be fixing my daughters bike with a tyre like this. My only concern is how long the honeycomb tyre will keep its shape and stay fixed on the rim.any input so far? 😀
So, what I’m getting from this is… 1. Have a work table that you don’t mind drilling into. (Seems like a standard apartment in the city furniture piece, that everyone has.) 2. Have 9” wood blocks. (You know, those ones that are just lying around.) 3. Go buy washers and screws. This is effective, yes. But is it a practical solution for city dwellers without vehicles or workshops and an abundance of tools? No.
Finally someone is showing us this thank you

Give that man a raise
Wow 🎉
Thanks, it worked out perfectly 🎉
Wonder if you could put the zip tie through the hole in the tire instead of the inside of the tire, that way at the end it’s not in the way??

Chewed up that rim pretty good
True. I put that poor tire and rim through a few different experiments that did not work as well as this one.
this is definitely different.

Yesssir! We are in the county of Kings! 👑
To remove solid tire, simply cut it instead of prying off.

This stupid thing mad my day very bad but you helped me ❤ big like
Did you still boil it to soften the rubber or no?
Good question. No.
@@JedsGarage thanks for reply was asking because I don't want to warp the tire lol
@@edwardmoody4180boiling it doesn’t warp the tire.
Please see my other tire video on how to remove existing old tires.
any idea on how to do the solid front tire ?😂
You’re a life saver.

If it came with solid tires preinstalled, consider yourself lucky and leave them there.

Genius nice one so easy
When you buy a one of those tires does it come wit air already in there ?
Good question. It’s actually solid all of the way through. No need to pressurize with air.
@@JedsGarage oh thanks 🙏 that’s all I needed it will be my first time purchase just had to make sure
How do you cover hole left by valve when changing to solid tyres?
Good question but that never was a problem with our 3 scooters that use to have valves and air tires.
Cut the old valve stem at the base of the inter tube and insert into the hole.

Plnou pneumatiku nasadím do 10 sekund jen ručně žádná páska žádný šroubovák ren rukama!!! Jde to hezky jen musí člověk přijít na to jak to nasadit🤔🙂
Just use a microwave and heat the tyre up the use tyre leavers.. heating the tyre will make it soft and easy to move...
Yes, that’s a good method for many.
Brilliant 😎
Wow 🎉
Hmm.. Ever tried to put the tire in hot water for 30 min. before mounting it? 😉
Yes but no luck. But, I’m glad you mentioned this because a combination of warming it up and this method would even make it easier.

Tnk vai
This is the most complicated method yet.
Thanks for the feedback.
Like changing the flat tubes wasn't already a hassle. Now we should find a nice wooden table to destroy lol
You have a good point. However, you don’t need to destroy a nice wooden table. Any board will do.
This is so sick !!!!!!!

No.
I can’t argue with this. Sorry.
So you basically need to be an octopus mounting this s.. great..
Yeah, pretty much
step 1 acquire all that shit aka the drill and table
Can’t argue with that.
better is put the tire in a boiling water for 30 min much easier. but well done buddy
Thanks
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Best technic ever for putting on that fkn tire 😂!!!
