- So where do I start? How about with this. I can't even put into words my thoughts about this truck! It was a very lucky find that we could even find this truck. We were actually with the guy collecting green waste and I asked about a dempster truck. He said he knew them but didn't know where they ran but he knew where a "Tube Rear Loader" works. Right when the driver said "Tube rear loader" I knew exactly what he was talking about. He said the driver had finished the area. But then he told me where to find the truck. So after about looking for 10 minutes, truth be told, we find the IRL. ABOUT TIME TOO! I was so excited to see one of these again especially since this will most likely be the last one I will ever see. And as if finding and filming the IRL wasn't cool enough, the driver is by far the coolest driver I have ever seen! Gave us tons of history about the truck and even gave us some oranges and water!
As it turns out this truck is only 13 years old. Much younger than I thought it would be. Sadly this is their last IRL and is in line to be scrapped very soon. The driver is very upset by this because this is his truck. He has worked this truck from zero miles to how you see it today. He really likes it because it turns very easily. The driver is very upset to see this truck go. At least he will be able to have some documented footage of his old truck and what is possibly the last IRL footage we might see. Hopefully you all can prove me wrong on that last statement and go out and find those IRLs!
I really hope you enjoy this video! This is by far the most interesting truck I have filmed. I grew up with these all over near me and in the last 4 years they have all disappeared so seeing this truck really brought back memories. If you see this video please leave me a comment and tell me what you think. I sure hope you have as much fun watching this truck in action as I did! Don't worry, part 2 will be up at a later date.
Filmed with: / kennystrucks
Thank you very much! The driver really likes this truck because of how easy it turns. To me this truck reminds me of a Pak-Mor.
WE ARE BOSS!!!!!! The BEST filming trip ever!!!!!!!! like and fav!
Sometimes I just enjoy a classic single axle rear loader
My gosh. One of the best trucks i have ever seen!!! Great job!
DSNY had a few of these back about 10-15 years ago - 25BT series. Saw one up in the Bronx collecting white goods - munched up washers, dryers and refrigerators like they were cardboard boxes
I was so surprised!!!! I was not expecting that at all!!!
had no idea there were any up there. So much cool stuff you and the other older filmers have caught on cam
Very cool! These were great trucks!
Thanks Gian!
That. Was. Glorious. Really glad you and kenny could find this, Excellent job, nice to see some good quality tripod footage of the IRL. Seems like he backed up pretty easy in one of those last clips, haha. Packer reminds me of the F5000. Really cool truck, great job.
This is AWESOME! Very lucky find!!!
Now that my friend is unique! I really enjoyed that footage mate! Sweet work.
Great video, thank you for sharing.
Dude when we saw that truck around the corner lol
Thank you very much!
Thank you! I really enjoyed seeing this truck
Wow! What a truck! I don't understand the reasons for the dislikes. This is fantastic!
Thank you! No we never filmed it collecting any bulky items. We did get 2 90s on film but thats it. Yeah i was wondering the same. The driver had nothing but good things to say.
interesting shape. great video!
thank you!
Thank you
Thanks!
that was awesome!
Yeah, my truck went through a lot that day! LOL!!!
Outstanding! Glad to finally see not only a newer IRL video, but one filmed with such quality. I never realized how deep the hopper was, did you guys happen to film it collecting anything bulky? You would think there would be more of these left in service considering they were made only 13 years ago. I wonder what turned haulers away from them. All and all they seem pretty solid.
Thanks
I've seen an old allied waste version of this in walnut creek
If you watch my other videos you will see i have videos of the automated side loaders too. This company (MSS) has those too except those trucks don't work in these tight conditions
I floored my truck to get a place to park! lol
3:27 Never seen that before.
When did you see that truck?
haha Thanks!
i may visit the yard in a few months and see if this truck is still around (probably not)
It’s been gone for years, about 6 months after I filmed this it was scrapped
I caught a 2007 heil the other day , but most of there old trucks are scrapped
i saw it about 6 years ago
but only a half tank of gas lol
glupieeee!!!!!!
Look it up. But then agian maybe in your areas you guys barely are starting to catch up.
..
Wow this truck is lame. Here in californina in santa monica u dnt ned to get off. Thats alot of time consuming and sum1 can get un ur truck and take off. The ones here u sit in it and just use the controls to make the elcetrical metal hand* to grab and put it on top and then down again very simple.
Wow. You obviously don't know why anyone likes these trucks. Laziness is not why garbage truck enthusiasts love garbage trucks. It is the old look, the manual requirements, and the engine sound of course. I don't like lazy garbage trucks
