I’ve been playing the bass for a year now and a half now. I stumbled upon this video about five months ago. I’ve been told that I wouldn’t get anywhere playing the bass. I don’t know what it is, but every time I watch this video, I find sweet peace, and I feel good about the small, yet big progress I’ve made while playing the bass. Thank you.

Upsidedown Eggos yeah, it's not that bad now, but I need more finger strength, my plucking technique is really bad and I think I keep using the wrong fingers for the frets, other than that it's great XD

There are many bass versions of this song but this is the only one I have found that plays all notes of the song, not just the bass notes. Best one here. Also like a lot of your other videos, keep it the good work

How in the world 2k of people can say they don't like this video of you playing bass on a song of the Cranberries. If someone don't like the Cranberries or simply don't like music at all it's not necessarily the place to say it with a thumb down Simply say nothing at all ! the meaning of this video is to show you how he's happy to play music and how he's happy to play bass. Anyway it couldn't be 2k of people of bass playing connaisseurs saying: No it's not the good way to play it. I could say here that I put a thumb up at first because I like music and second because you are playing well this song with a bass. You almost sing a song with your bass. Many thanks for the show. Take in mind that It's at least appreciated by me and 133 k other people.

This translates beautifully to guitar as a fingerpicking just add some high notes in the correct places and you have a lovely fingerpicked version

heh, that's super cool to see the visual effect between the shutter speed (/refresh speed) of the camera and the first string vibration. I always have a hard time trying to explain to people one of the more interesting appeals of the Bass, which is the intuitive understanding you have of where the string will be in its vibration, and how good it feels to 'capture' the string as you play, as feedback for how you're doing and as guidance on timing.
Your playing style is an excellent example of technique and finesse over speed.
