Perfect tutorial! Very easy to understand. You didn't cut the yarn when you changed to a new color. What happens to the yarn of the first color if you don't cut it?

As you finish the 2nd row of color 2, you will be on the same side where you dropped color 1, you undo the last step of the last stitch in current row and finish it with color 1.. Repeat every 2 rows.

thank u for the tutorial but one question when switching the colors do u cut the wool or do u just continue through out

You're welcome. No I don't cut the yarn. I just drop the color to the side and pick it up after 2 rows, when I'm back to the same side again. After you finish the blanket, you can work a simple border (can be as simple as single crochet stitches all around) to hide the yarn carried over on the side.

Hi Bri, thank you for watching and trying my pattern. Unfortunately, with textured stitches, more yarn is involved. It does create a beautiful blanket at the end.
